Anker Prime TB5 A83B5 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Dock, 140W, 8K

Connect a Thunderbolt laptop to displays, wired Ethernet, storage cards, and desk accessories through one docking station. The Anker Prime TB5 brings 14 connections together in a compact desktop hub. Its Thunderbolt 5 ports support fast data transfer and high-resolution displays, while up to 140W charging adds power for a compatible host laptop.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the dock at the center of a laptop workspace to connect your display, wired network, USB accessories, and SD or TF cards from one place. That setup is useful when moving between a portable laptop arrangement and a more complete desk, since common peripherals can stay connected to the dock.

For a compatible laptop, connect the host through the Thunderbolt 5 upstream port. The dock supports Thunderbolt 5 and 4 laptops with Windows 10 or 11 or macOS 15 or later. Listed MacBook support includes M4 models and M1, M2, and M3 models with Pro or Max chips. It does not support Thunderbolt 3 laptops, ChromeOS, or Linux systems, so match the host connection and operating system to these requirements before setting up.

Strengths

The combination of Thunderbolt 5, USB-C, USB-A, SD and TF readers, Ethernet, audio, and an HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 2.1 connection makes this dock useful for varied desk setups. It can accommodate tasks such as transferring files from a memory card, connecting a wired network, and keeping everyday peripherals ready without relying on separate adapters for each connection.

For large transfers, the Thunderbolt 5 connection offers up to 120Gbps maximum data transfer. Display support reaches up to 8K at 60Hz for a single display, dual 8K at 60Hz is supported with Thunderbolt 5 Windows laptops. The Thunderbolt 5 upstream port provides up to 140W charging with PD 3.1, while the two front-facing USB-C ports share up to 45W for connected devices. An active cooling system is designed to manage heat during demanding use.

Buyers often praise the straightforward setup, sturdy construction, appearance, and charging performance. Feedback varies on port mix and device compatibility, making the listed laptop and operating-system support especially useful when planning a setup.
