MSI PRO MP242L 23.8-inch FHD office monitor 100 Hz
Product description
This 23.8-inch office monitor from MSI brings Full HD clarity and a slim, four-sided frameless design to everyday workstations, combining a higher refresh rate and eye-care features for comfortable long sessions. It is suitable for spreadsheets, web browsing and light multimedia, offering smoother motion with a 100 Hz panel and reduced eye strain during prolonged use.
Key Points
The display uses an IPS panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 23.8-inch diagonal that keeps text sharp and colours consistent across wide viewing angles. The PerfectEdge 4-sided frameless bezel reduces visual distraction when placed alongside other screens, helping multi-monitor setups feel more continuous. It includes both HDMI 1.4b and DisplayPort 1.2a inputs for modern and legacy connectivity, plus a line-in and headphones-out jack for basic audio routing. The stand is tilt-adjustable and the design includes a tool-less assembly with a cable management clip for neater desks. For users sensitive to screen flicker and blue light, the monitor integrates TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certified Less Blue Light and Anti-Flicker technologies alongside MSI’s Eye-Q Check software to help detect viewing issues.

Benefits
The higher-than-standard 100 Hz refresh rate reduces motion blur when scrolling through documents or moving windows, which can lead to a perception of greater smoothness compared with 60 Hz screens. Colour reproduction covering 104% of sRGB helps when dealing with visual assets that rely on accurate tones, and the IPS technology keeps hues stable when you glance across the desk. Eye comfort features are a clear advantage for those who spend many hours in front of the monitor, with both hardware-level treatments and software tools aimed at reducing fatigue and flicker. The anti-glare surface also decreases reflections from ambient light, making the screen easier to read in mixed lighting conditions.
Usage Recommendations
For multi-screen productivity setups, place this panel alongside additional displays to take advantage of the thin bezels and more continuous desktop space. Use the MSI Display Kit app to adjust colour presets and display settings according to tasks, for example choosing more accurate sRGB modes when reviewing images and brighter profiles for spreadsheets. The tilt-adjustable stand helps fine-tune viewing angle and the cable clip keeps connections organised on a busy desk. Consider that 250 nits of brightness may be modest in very bright rooms, so position the monitor away from direct sunlight and reduce glare with ambient lighting adjustments.
