Gnanlen 2nd Gen iPad Pencil for iPad Pro 11" ✏

This magnetic, wireless stylus from Gnanlen is designed to pair with recent iPad models and lets you sketch, take notes, and control apps with pressure sensitivity and tilt detection. It charges magnetically on compatible iPads and aims to deliver a pencil-like feel for drawing and handwriting, making it useful for students, creatives, and professionals who need a handheld input for iPad Pro and newer iPad Air and Mini models.

Key Points

The stylus connects via Bluetooth and attaches magnetically to the side of compatible iPads for wireless charging. According to the manufacturer, a full charge takes about 1.5 hours and the battery can last up to 9 hours of use. The tip thickness is 1.2 mm, which is intended to provide finer strokes and greater precision when drawing or writing. The device supports palm rejection so you can rest your hand on the screen while working. There is a shortcut touch control on the barrel that performs actions when tapped once or twice after pairing.

Usage Recommendations

Before attempting to charge the stylus magnetically, verify your iPad model number on the rear of the device to confirm compatibility. The stylus is compatible with iPad Pro 11-inch (1st through 4th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd through 6th generation), iPad Air 4th and 5th generation, and iPad Mini 6th generation. It will not work as a charging or input accessory with smartphones, Android tablets, or older iPad models that lack the magnetic charging zone. When paired, use the shortcut touch to switch quickly between functions, for example a single tap to return to the home screen and a double tap to open app selection, and use the screen swipe gesture for screenshots.

Positive Aspects

The stylus emphasizes natural handwriting and drawing with tilt sensitivity and pixel-level accuracy to reduce latency and interruptions while you work. Battery performance is competitive for a third-party accessory and the magnetic mount keeps the pencil handy and charged while traveling or between sessions. Consider that performance features such as magnetic charging and shortcut gestures depend on the iPad’s hardware and software support according to the manufacturer, so some models on the compatible list may provide a fuller feature set than others.
