Pieviev XL-40''x28'' Extra-Large Silicone Cat Litter Mat with Raised Edge

Deep grooves help catch litter as your cat steps away from the box, while the extra-large surface gives stray granules more room to land. The Pieviev silicone mat measures 40'' x 28'' and has a raised edge to help contain litter and spills. Its soft surface is designed to be gentle on paws, and the non-slip backing helps keep the mat in place during everyday use.

Key takeaways

The raised pattern collects litter from your cat's paws, helping keep it from scattering across the surrounding floor. A 0.6-inch raised edge adds a barrier around the mat to help contain urine and water spills, while the waterproof silicone surface provides a practical layer of protection beneath the litter area. The non-slip backing helps the mat stay positioned as your cat comes and goes.

Its 40'' x 28'' size offers a broad landing area around a litter box, including self-cleaning litter box setups. It is suitable for different types of cat litter, so you can use it with the litter your household already prefers. Buyers commonly appreciate its litter-catching function, size, and easy cleanup, some also describe the mat as flimsy, so feedback on its feel is mixed.

Care & maintenance

To clear collected litter, pour it back into the litter box, then gently shake the mat. For remaining residue, rinse it with water. This straightforward routine makes it easy to tidy the area as part of regular litter box care. The silicone material is also described as durable and resistant to damage or deformation from repeated trampling or scratching.

The mat can serve other household pet needs, too. Place food or water bowls on it to catch mess around feeding time, or use it as a pet dish mat. Its broad format also lends itself to use as a cat resting mat or sink mat. If you're choosing between a basic litter-area mat and a larger mat with spill-catching edges, this model combines a wide footprint with grooves and a raised perimeter.

Who it’s for

This mat suits cat owners who want a dedicated surface around the litter box to catch scattered granules and help protect the floor from spills. Its size is useful when you want more coverage around the box, while the textured surface and raised edge address different parts of the cleanup: catching litter underfoot and containing mess within the mat. It also works for households looking for one silicone mat that can move between litter-box and feeding areas.
