Hompet Cat Litter Mat 2-Pack, 20 x 60-Inch Washable Waterproof Mats

Why it makes sense

For cat owners who want to catch loose litter around the litter box, this two-mat Hompet set provides a wide landing area that helps keep scattered litter closer to its source. Each mat measures 20 x 60 inches, and the textured surface is designed to lift loose litter from paws as cats step out of the box. Litter stays on the surface for shaking off, rather than settling deep into grooves.

A soft quilted top, absorbent core, and waterproof barrier give the mat a practical role beyond catching dry litter: the layered construction helps contain moisture and protect the floor from litter-box spills. Could a mat also fit naturally into your room? Its cream Moroccan trellis pattern has the look of a runner rug, while the two-piece set makes it easier to keep a mat in place during washing.

Key points

The mats are made of polyester with a polyvinyl chloride backing and are intended for indoor use. Their rectangular runner shape gives you a longer area to place beside or in front of a litter box, where cats can step onto the textured surface after using it. The backing is designed to grip tile, wood, and laminate, and the quilted fabric provides a soft surface for paws.

For a high-traffic litter area or a home with multiple cats, the broad format can cover more floor around the box than a compact mat. It can also serve as a feeding mat, crate liner, or pet resting area, making the pair useful in more than one spot at home. Buyers often praise the mats’ size, appearance, and ability to catch litter, comments about grip are mixed, with some saying the mats stay put and others reporting movement.

Cleaning & care

Machine washing makes routine care straightforward: shake off loose litter, then wash the mat when it needs cleaning. The two-pack can help with rotation, so one mat can be used while the other is being washed. The manufacturer describes the construction as designed to handle 300+ washes. If the mat has creases from packaging, regular use can help them relax, washing before first use or folding it in the opposite direction are also suggested ways to help it lie flat sooner.
