Powools 1 Cat Litter Mat, 23.2 x 14.6 in, Waterproof EVA, Gray

For cat owners looking to catch loose litter near the litter box, the Powools mat creates a dedicated landing area for paws and scattered granules. Its double-layer design combines a honeycomb top with a waterproof bottom. Want to make everyday cleanup more manageable? The side opening lets you tip collected litter back into the box or into the trash.

How to use it

Place the mat by the litter box entrance so litter carried on your cat’s paws can fall into the honeycomb openings. When it is time to tidy up, lift and tip the mat through its side opening to empty the trapped litter. The manufacturer suggests emptying it every two to three days. For marks or more persistent messes, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or rinse it with water.

At 23.2 x 14.6 inches, the rectangular mat covers the entrance area of many litter boxes. Its waterproof bottom layer helps shield floors and carpets from urine and other liquids, while the non-slip backing is designed to keep the mat in place during use. Set it under food and water bowls, too, to catch spills and crumbs.

Strengths

The two-layer construction gives this mat a specific job: the honeycomb surface catches loose litter, and the bottom layer helps keep moisture from reaching the floor. Instead of relying on sweeping or wiping around the box as the only cleanup approach, you can gather litter in one place and tip it out when needed. Returning collected litter to the box is also an option, which can help reduce waste.

Made from EVA, the mat has a soft surface intended to feel gentle under sensitive paws. Its size gives cats a defined area to step onto after using the box, and the same surface can serve as a feeding mat when you want a place to catch bowl spills and crumbs. The gray color and rectangular shape make it easy to position beside a litter box or feeding station.

Worth noting

Buyers commonly praise the mat for catching litter and for being easy to empty and clean. Feedback on the non-slip backing and size is mixed: some say it stays put and suits a smaller litter box, while others report sliding or finding it smaller than expected. The listed dimensions, 23.2 x 14.6 inches, can help you decide where it will sit in your setup.

When it makes sense

This mat is a practical fit for a litter-box area where loose granules tend to travel beyond the entrance, or where you want a waterproof layer beneath that spot. It also suits a feeding station that needs a surface for catching everyday spills. Choose it when you want litter capture, a simple way to tip out what collects, and a washable EVA mat in one defined area of your home.
