Garoopion ZDX04-DM08 Silicone Cat Litter Mat, 40" x 28", Waterproof

At 40" x 28", the Garoopion silicone cat litter mat gives the area around a litter box a broad, easy-clean surface. Its raised edges help contain scattered litter, water, and urine. The waterproof design helps protect the floor beneath it. Soft silicone also provides a gentle surface for cats to walk across.

Why it makes sense

Litter can travel beyond the box as cats step out. This mat creates a larger landing area to catch litter from their paws and help keep it from spreading across the floor. Compared with a small mat placed just at the box entrance, its 40" x 28" format covers a wider area around the litter setup. Raised edges add a practical boundary for loose litter and spills, while the waterproof silicone surface helps keep moisture from seeping through to the floor.

The flexible silicone is designed for everyday contact with cats’ paws, making the mat useful as part of a regular litter-box area. Its light gray color offers a neutral look that can blend into many home spaces. Buyers often highlight its litter-catching area and ease of cleaning, feedback on how firmly it stays in place and how thick it feels varies.

Key points

The large rectangular format suits a litter box area where stray granules tend to collect. When litter gathers on the mat, it can be swept or vacuumed away, or the surface can be rinsed. The mat can also be lifted to tip collected litter back into the box, a straightforward way to keep the surrounding area tidier between full cleanups.

Raised edges make the design useful beyond litter collection by helping contain food, water, and treats on a pet feeding surface. The same waterproof, easy-to-clean material can serve as a resting mat, shoe-tray insert, or plant saucer. Rather than choosing a mat dedicated to a single spot in the home, this one can be repurposed wherever a washable barrier is useful.

Everyday use

Place the mat beneath or in front of the litter box so cats step onto it as they leave. Regularly sweep, vacuum, or rinse away collected debris, then return it to the litter area. For feeding, it offers a defined surface beneath pet bowls, with raised edges to help keep spills from reaching the floor. It can also be used under plants or shoes when a waterproof, easy-clean surface is helpful.

Because the mat is flexible silicone, it can be lifted for cleaning and moved between household uses as needed. Its generous footprint is especially practical when setting up a larger litter-box area or covering more floor around the box than a compact entry mat would.

Is it worth it?

A solid pick if you want one large silicone mat to catch litter and help protect the floor around a cat’s litter box. The 40" x 28" surface, waterproof construction, raised edges, and simple sweep, vacuum, or rinse cleanup make it a functional choice for litter areas and other spots that benefit from an easy-clean barrier.
