LEGO Wicked Emerald City & Kiamo Ko Castle 75689 Building Set, 860 Pieces
Product description
For Wicked fans aged 9 and up, this LEGO building set brings two fantasy locations together for imaginative play. Build Emerald City and Kiamo Ko Castle, then use the Elphaba and Glinda mini dolls to create scenes from the film or invent new ones. With 860 pieces, the finished models are also designed to be displayed.
Key points
The set includes two buildable scenes, Elphaba and Glinda mini dolls, a flying monkey figure and a buildable rainbow. Emerald City offers Glinda’s bedroom and a castle turntable, while hidden details such as a map of Oz invite a closer look. At Kiamo Ko Castle, the Grimmerie and a secret compartment create a playful way to stage Elphaba’s disappearance beyond the rainbow.
The separate settings make it easy to move between familiar moments and original stories, rather than building a single scene with just one way to play. Once the storytelling is finished, both models can be kept on display in a bedroom or on a desk. The LEGO Builder app can support the build with 3D model viewing, zoom and rotation, alongside saved sets and progress tracking.
Buyers have praised the enjoyment of putting the pieces together and the set’s entertainment value, with several noting that their granddaughters loved it. That makes the build and the opportunity for imaginative play part of its appeal, as well as the finished display models.
Size & fit
The Kiamo Ko Castle measures over 18 cm high, 18 cm wide and 10 cm deep. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for a desk or shelf display, while the two connected worlds give children plenty of detail to explore during play. This is a building set for children aged 9 and up, with assembly forming part of the activity. The pieces also suit fans who enjoy arranging a colourful fantasy scene after building, rather than choosing a model intended only to be put together and stored away.
Tips for day-to-day use
Set aside a clear surface for sorting and building the 860 pieces, then keep the two locations together to make switching between stories straightforward. Children can start with Glinda’s room or the map in Emerald City, then take the action to Kiamo Ko Castle and use its secret compartment to stage Elphaba’s escape. The rainbow provides a visual link between the settings and a natural starting point for making up a new scene.
For a guided building experience, the LEGO Builder app lets children view and rotate the models in 3D while they work. After the build, place the castle and Emerald City where their details can be seen, or bring the mini dolls and flying monkey back into the story whenever play begins again.
