LEGO Friends 42694 Pizza Truck Building Set with 190 Pieces and 2 Mini Dolls
Product description
For children aged 6 and over who enjoy pizza-themed pretend play, the LEGO Friends Pizza Truck (42694) combines a vehicle build with characters and food accessories.
The set has 190 pieces and includes Olly and Aliya mini dolls, plus a puppy figure. That gives children people and a pet to involve in their stories once the truck is built.
Pizza-making is the central play idea: choose toppings, cook a pizza in the oven and serve it from the van. A table, menu, phone and pizza box add details for acting out customer visits.
Technical overview
- Name: LEGO Friends Pizza Truck
- Type: Building and role-play set
- Reference: 42694
- Material: Plastic
- What’s included: 190 pieces, two mini dolls, a puppy figure and pretend-play accessories
The build leads into character-led play rather than being only a vehicle to display. Children can decide what goes on each pizza, take orders and make up a scene around the table. The decorative slice on top of the colourful truck helps identify its food-truck theme during play.
Digital building instructions are available in the LEGO Builder app. Children can zoom in on and rotate the model in 3D, as well as track progress and save sets. This may be useful for following the build, while the finished set offers a separate opportunity for storytelling.
Who it’s for
This set is aimed at children aged 6+ who like building toys, food play or making up stories with figures. The two mini dolls support scenes involving friends, while the puppy and its food give the pet a part in the action. You’ll like it if the appeal is a mix of assembling a model and then using it in imaginative play, rather than a build with no role-play theme.
A practical play scenario could start with a child choosing toppings, putting a pizza in the oven and serving it to one of the figures at the table. The menu, phone and pizza box provide prompts for taking an order and completing the pretend visit. The set is also described as a birthday gift idea for children who enjoy pizza and pretend play.
Box contents
The set includes the pizza truck, Olly and Aliya mini dolls, a puppy figure and food-themed accessories. These include pizza toppings, a table, a menu, a phone, a pizza box tile and food for the puppy. The range of pieces gives children several ways to extend a simple cooking scene into a customer or friendship story.
Final verdict
LEGO Friends 42694 is a focused choice for a child who wants a pizza-themed build with characters and plenty of prompts for role-play. Compared with a vehicle set chosen mainly for building or display, this one puts more emphasis on serving food and inventing social stories. You may want to skip it if the main aim is a vehicle build without a pretend-play theme. The stated age range is 6+, the safety warning says it is not suitable for children under 3 because it contains small parts.
