LEGO Wednesday Black Dahlia Flower 76784 Building Set with Opening Vase

Some building sets are all about the build, this one turns into a display piece with a hidden space to explore. The LEGO Wednesday Black Dahlia Flower 76784 combines a dramatic flower and conservatory-style vase with details for imaginative play, making it a distinctive project for fans of the series and creative design.

With 358 pieces and two mini dolls, it gives children aged 9+ plenty to build and stories to invent once the model is complete.

Everyday use

Build the black dahlia, then place it in the vase to lock the closed display. Remove the flower to open the vase and reveal a miniature conservatory-inspired space, with movable furniture and details for play. The design makes the set easy to move between imaginative storytelling and display: it can be kept closed with the flower in place, or opened up to bring the interior into a scene.

Wednesday Addams and Professor Marilyn Thornhill mini dolls help bring the setting to life. Children can recreate moments inspired by the first season of the TV series or make up their own mysteries, using the figures and interior details as prompts. The result suits a build-and-play session that can continue after construction, as well as a finished model to display in a bedroom.

Strengths

The flower is more than a decorative feature: it acts as the vase’s lock, giving the model a simple transformation from closed display to opening play space. That mechanism, the conservatory-style windows and movable furniture make the build feel like a small setting rather than a standalone flower. Two character figures add role-play options, while the 358-piece build gives the project substance for fans who enjoy assembling detailed models.

The LEGO Builder app offers a digital way to follow the build, with tools to zoom in, rotate the model in 3D, save sets and track progress. Buyers also praise the enjoyable build, clear instructions and finished appearance, and often mention it as a gift. These impressions can help set expectations for the building and display experience, while the set’s stated age guidance is 9+.

What matters most

This set is a strong choice for someone who wants a model that does more than sit on a shelf. Compared with a purely decorative flower build, its opening vase and character-led details give children a reason to return to it for stories and play. It also works the other way round: close the vase and use the black dahlia to secure it for display.

The build is made from plastic and contains 358 pieces. Once assembled, the model measures over 23 cm high, 10 cm wide and 9 cm deep when closed. The parts and miniature furniture create a compact scene centred on the Wednesday theme, while the flower-and-vase design gives it a clear decorative identity. For a birthday or a themed gift, the combination of construction, display and role-play makes it relevant to both young fans and children who enjoy imaginative building.

Is it worth it?

A solid pick if the recipient enjoys Wednesday, character-based storytelling or models with a display purpose as well as play features. The key reason to choose it is the black dahlia’s dual role: it completes the flower display and unlocks a hidden interior, extending the build into an imaginative play setting. With two mini dolls and movable furnishings, there are useful details to explore after the 358-piece construction is finished.
