LEGO Friends 42677 Dog Treats Bakery Building Set with 2 Mini Dolls and 4 Dogs

Built from 278 plastic pieces, the LEGO Friends Dog Treats Bakery (42677) combines a small shop build with character-led pet play. It is designed for children aged 6 and over, with two mini dolls and four dog figures to bring bakery visits, baking and customer stories to life.

The shop includes an oven, coffee machine, refrigerator and seating, along with a ramp to the counter so the dogs can join in the pretend service. Treats, play food and a pet carrier give children plenty of details to arrange as they build and play.

Highlights

This set brings together a bakery setting and a group of animal characters, making it easy to move from building the shop to inventing scenes around it. Aliya and Sage are joined by four pet dogs, while a pet door, fun signage and a ramp add details that invite the figures into the story.

The accessories help shape different kinds of play: children can set out the menu card, serve doughnuts and cookies, offer milk in cups, or include dog treats and a bone in a visit to the counter. Character and pet hats add another element for dressing up the scene. For children who mainly want a straightforward building project, a set focused on bricks alone may suit better, this one is made to carry on into imaginative role-play once the bakery is assembled.

Best use cases

A good fit for children who enjoy animals, pretend shops and making up stories with figures, the bakery gives them a clear setting to build around. One practical play idea is to arrange the seating and counter, choose what goes on the menu, then have the dogs arrive with their carrier and take turns being served. The ramp and pet door help make the animals part of the action rather than background decorations.

The set also works well for shared play: children can take the roles of the two mini dolls, customers and pets, and decide together how the bakery runs. It is recommended for ages 6 and up, small parts make it unsuitable for children under 3.

Everyday use

The build and the play are closely connected, so the shop can become a starting point for a fresh scenario after assembly. Children might set up a bakery visit, plan a menu or decide which treats suit each dog, using the food pieces and shop fittings to guide their stories. The range of figures means there are several characters to include, whether playing alone or with someone else.

For building support, the LEGO Builder app offers 3D instructions that children can zoom in on and rotate. It also lets them save sets and track progress, giving them a digital way to follow the build alongside the physical pieces.

Should you buy it?

Worth considering if you are choosing a birthday gift or play set for a child aged 6 or over who likes dogs and enjoys pretend-play settings. The 278-piece build provides a bakery to assemble, while the two mini dolls, four dogs, pet carrier and food accessories give the finished shop an immediate role in imaginative play. It is a particularly suitable choice when you want a building set that leads naturally into stories about serving customers and caring for pets.
