LEGO Minecraft 21278 The Pillager Outpost and Ravager Building Set, 665 Pieces

Set up a Minecraft village raid at home with LEGO Minecraft The Pillager Outpost and Ravager, where building leads straight into imaginative battle play. The set brings together a watchtower, a mason’s house, character figures and a buildable ravager, giving children plenty of ways to create scenes and change the action as they play.

The ravager’s lever-operated feature moves its jaw and head, adding an interactive element to the build. Designed for ages 9 and up, the set also offers a shared building activity through the LEGO Builder app, with 3D model viewing tools.

Best use cases

This set suits children who enjoy Minecraft characters as much as constructing their own play scenes. The three-floor watchtower has ladders, pillager-face banners and a chest, while the mason’s house features an opening door, a bed and a stonecutter. Together, the structures create a setting for staging a raid, defending the village or inventing a story that moves between the outpost and the house.

The buildable ravager adds movement to the action: use its lever-operated function to make its jaw snap and its head butt as it charges into a scene. Four Minecraft figures—a Space Sentinel, Raid Captain, mason villager and Vindicator—are joined by a pig figure, so children can set up different roles rather than relying on a single character. Accessories such as a training dummy, torch, carrot, iron ingot, diamond helmet, sword, crossbow and axe help flesh out the scenarios.

Compared with choosing a single character figure, this set combines construction with a ready-made village encounter. It works well for a hands-on building session followed by open-ended play, and the LEGO Builder app lets children zoom in on and rotate the models in 3D. Building together with friends or family can make the project a shared activity, too.

Box contents

The set includes 665 LEGO pieces for the Pillager Outpost, the mason’s house, the ravager and the accompanying figures and accessories. The completed model measures over 24 cm high, 16 cm wide and 12 cm deep, making the watchtower a prominent centrepiece for a Minecraft play scene. Small parts are included, so the set is intended for ages 9 and up and is not suitable for children under 3.

Buying verdict

For young Minecraft fans who want more than a display build, this set pairs a recognisable village setting with figures, accessories and a ravager that moves at the turn of a lever. Its mix of construction, character-led storytelling and interactive action makes it a strong fit for imaginative play at home or as a gaming-themed gift for a child aged 9 or over.
