Andalus Brands Cat Litter Mat, 30" x 24

A simple flat mat can catch some litter, while this design aims to do more by trapping loose pieces in a honeycomb layer and keeping them on the mat’s base. The Andalus Brands cat litter mat measures 30" x 24" and is made from soft EVA, with a non-slip backing described as waterproof and urine-proof. That gives it a practical role beside an indoor litter box, especially where stray litter tends to show up on the floor. The main decision is whether its footprint and layered design suit your box and the space around it.

Size & fit

At 30" x 24", this mat offers a defined area in front of or beneath a litter pan. The listing says it fits under most pans or trays, but “most” does not confirm that it will cover your particular setup. Measure the space available and compare it with the mat’s dimensions, a box that occupies nearly the entire surface leaves less room for paws to land on the litter-catching area. If you’re choosing between a compact mat and a larger one, think about where your cat steps after leaving the box, not just the box’s footprint. A quick check of those measurements matters, since fit is hard to judge without that measurement.

The honeycomb openings are intended to catch litter as your cat steps across the surface, while the lower layer holds the debris rather than letting it scatter immediately onto the floor. In everyday use, that means you can lift or handle the mat to deal with collected litter instead of sweeping every loose piece from the surrounding floor. It’s still a mat, not a substitute for cleaning the litter box, and the listing doesn’t specify how much litter it can hold before it needs attention.

Pros

• The dual-layer, honeycomb design is made to collect stray litter and keep it contained on the base layer.
• Soft EVA gives the surface a paw-friendly feel, while the mat is described as durable enough for daily use.
• Its non-slip, waterproof, and urine-proof claims may appeal if you want floor protection alongside litter control.
• The 30" x 24" size gives litter-catching coverage beyond a small pad, provided it fits your available floor area.

A practical example: place it where your cat usually steps out, then check whether the honeycomb section catches the litter carried on its paws. Does that solve the mess in your room? It may reduce scattered pieces in that spot, though results depend on your cat’s habits and where the mat sits. Compared with a basic flat mat, this one puts more emphasis on trapping debris between layers, a simpler surface may be easier to move or store, while offering less of that containment design.

When it makes sense

It’s a great fit if you want a dedicated litter-catching area for an indoor cat and have enough floor space for this size. The layered construction is the distinguishing point: it is designed to hold tracked litter on the mat, rather than simply giving your cat a surface to step onto. The listing also describes the base as waterproof and urine-proof, but provides no further care instructions or performance details, so avoid assuming more than those stated claims.

Better avoided if you need exact confirmation that the mat fits a particular litter pan, or if your available space is smaller than its stated dimensions. It may also be unnecessary if a small, easy-to-shift floor covering already meets your needs. Choose this one when the larger footprint and litter-trapping layout address a real cleanup problem in your home, choose a more basic mat when compactness and simplicity matter more than a layered design.
