Compatible Ink Cartridges 68XL

Key specifications

The 68XL format pairs a black cartridge with a tri-color cartridge, so this set covers both everyday text and color printing without mixing cartridge types. It’s listed as a replacement for HP 68 and 68e cartridges and is designed for selected HP ENVY and DeskJet printers.

Compatibility includes ENVY 6155e, 6555e, 6152e, 6165e, 6110e, 6552e, and 6558e, along with the listed non-e ENVY 6152, 6155, 6165, 6552, 6555, and 6558 models. Supported DeskJet models include 2942, 2952, 2955, 2923, 2925, 4352, 4355, 4358, and 4327. Match the exact model number on your printer to this list before choosing the set, a similar model name alone does not establish compatibility.

The stated maximum yield is up to 730 pages from the black cartridge and up to 630 pages from the tri-color cartridge. Actual yield depends on what you print, printer settings, and usage. For printers enrolled in HP+, the listing gives a lower yield of 160+ pages for black and 120+ for tri-color. Treat these figures as estimates, not a promise for every printing pattern. With no way to know your document coverage in advance, your results can vary without that measurement.

Who it’s for

This combo makes sense for a household, student, or home office that uses both black text and color graphics. For example, it can cover a week of homework, a few reports, and a chart with color-coded sections without requiring a separate purchase for each ink type. A solid pick if both cartridges are due for replacement and your printer is on the compatibility list.

If you only need black ink, buying a combo means setting aside a color cartridge you may not use right away. It might not be a great match if your printer model isn’t listed, or if you rely on a specific yield and need a guaranteed page count. A single replacement cartridge may make more sense when only one color group is running low.

What you get

The pack contains one 68XL black cartridge and one 68XL tri-color cartridge. The listing describes an updated chip intended to support printer recognition and ink-level monitoring. That feature is meant to make routine use easier, but it doesn’t remove the need to confirm the exact printer model before installation.

For everyday documents, school assignments, reports, and photos, the set is positioned as a general-purpose replacement rather than a specialized photo-ink option. The stated output aims for readable black text and bright color, but the supplied details don’t specify paper requirements or photo-printing performance beyond those general claims.

Practical doubts

Which printers are listed as compatible? The stated list covers selected HP ENVY and DeskJet models, including the ENVY 6155e and DeskJet 4355. Check the full model number against the list above.

Are both black and color included? Yes. The package includes one black and one tri-color 68XL cartridge.

Are the page-yield figures guaranteed? No. They are listed as maximum or approximate yields, and the stated results vary with printer settings and the content being printed.

Should you buy it?

Choose this set when your exact printer model is listed and you expect to use both black and color ink for routine home, school, or office jobs. Its main practical advantage is having both cartridge types in one purchase, with stated yields that may reduce how often you replace them. Skip it if you need only one type of ink, want a guaranteed page count, or can’t confirm your printer’s model from the compatibility list, those details matter more than the combo format.
