NEEWER RGB168 RGB LED Video Light Panel, 60W, 18.3-inch, App Control

At 18.3 inches, the NEEWER RGB168 is a 60W RGB LED panel for continuous lighting in video and photography. Its side-emitting design and built-in diffuser produce soft light from the panel, while a 120° beam angle helps spread illumination across your setup.

Set the colour temperature from 2500K to 8500K, adjust brightness from 0 to 100%, or select a hue across 360°. The rear LCD shows your settings as you work.

Worth noting

A CRI and TLCI of 97+ support accurate colour reproduction for portraits, product shots, video calls and creator content. For a talking-head video, for example, the adjustable white balance lets you match the panel to a warmer or cooler look, while dimming helps shape the light for your space. The panel reaches a maximum illuminance of 5,000 lux at 0.5m, measured at 5600K.

For more expressive scenes, choose from 17 effects, including candlelight, lightning, fireworks and colour cycling. Brightness and other effect settings can be adjusted to suit the shot. Use the controls on the back or the NEEWER app to adjust colour temperature, brightness, HSI and scene modes. The app supports Android 4.3 or later and iOS 11.1 or later, settings can be saved in two preset groups, and the system can control one to eight light groups.

Buyers highlight the panel’s bright, diffused output. Feedback on ease of use and connectivity is mixed, so the rear controls offer a direct way to adjust the light as well as app operation.

Everyday use

Power the light with the included DC adapter or with two NP-F batteries, sold separately. For a home video-call setup, connect the adapter, attach the mounting bracket to a light stand, and set the panel to a comfortable brightness and colour temperature. The bracket is detachable for setup and pack-down, and the included carrying bag stores the light and accessories between shoots. A light stand is not included.

Compared with a basic white-only panel, RGB control and scene effects give you more ways to add colour or create a specific lighting mood. A simpler fixed-colour light may suit a setup that only needs one consistent look, the RGB168 offers more adjustment for creators who switch between calls, video, portraits and effect-based shots.

Tips for day-to-day use

Start with colour temperature to match the look you want, then adjust brightness for the scene. For natural-looking portraits or on-camera video, the panel’s high CRI/TLCI ratings and built-in diffuser help deliver soft, colour-conscious illumination. Save frequently used settings in a preset group to make recurring setups easier to organize. You can also use the rear LCD and controls when you want to adjust settings directly on the light.

Is it worth it?

It makes sense if you want one panel for both balanced everyday lighting and creative colour effects. The adjustable 2500K–8500K range, dimming, app control and 17 scenes make it useful for home studios, livestreams, video meetings and photo sessions where the lighting needs to change with the content.
