NEEWER RF1-S Macro Ring Flash for Sony, 76Ws, 5600K TTL and Lens Adapter Rings
Product description
For Sony camera users photographing small subjects, the NEEWER RF1-S brings flash illumination around the lens for macro work. Its 80° coverage helps light subjects evenly from multiple angles, making it useful for close-up photos of plants, insects and studio subjects.
Choose TTL when you want the flash to set exposure automatically, or switch to manual control for output from 1/1 to 1/128. MULTI mode adds stroboscopic flashes for creative effects, while the A and B flash tubes can be controlled independently or together.
A ring flash suits close-up lighting needs, a conventional flash takes a different approach by lighting from outside the lens. The RF1-S’s surrounding coverage and supplied lens adapter rings make it a practical fit for macro setups where even illumination and lens compatibility are priorities.

The colour gels—white, red, green and yellow—let you add colour to a setup, while the adapter rings fit lenses with 49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72 or 77mm filter threads.
Who it’s for
The RF1-S is suited to photographers using a compatible Sony camera for close-up subjects, from plant details and insects to small studio products. TTL can simplify exposure as you work, while manual output and separate A/B tube control give you ways to shape the light and contrast. MULTI mode offers another approach when a stroboscopic effect is part of the image.
For a practical setup, fit the adapter ring that matches the lens’s filter thread, mount the flash on the camera’s compatible hot shoe and position the ring around the lens. Its wide coverage helps illuminate the subject from around the lens, a useful arrangement when photographing small details at close range.
Box contents
The kit includes one macro ring flash, two assist focus lights, four colour gel filters and eight lens adapter rings. The flash requires four AA batteries, which are not included, so have a suitable set ready for use.
Final verdict
For Sony macro photographers who want lens-mounted lighting with options to adjust exposure and light balance, the NEEWER RF1-S combines TTL, manual and MULTI modes with independently controlled flash tubes. Its adapter-ring range, focus lights and colour gels support a flexible close-up setup for subjects such as plants, insects and small studio items.
