The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Season 1 DVD, Rick and Michonne’s Story
Product description
For a focused return to Rick and Michonne, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live follows the two characters as they search for each other in a changed and dangerous world. Their relationship drives this season’s story.
The conflict reaches beyond the threat of the dead: Rick and Michonne also face forces built around a war against the living. That gives the series a personal through-line within its horror and drama setting.
This DVD edition presents Season 1 in NTSC format, with English-language audio and a runtime of 4 hours and 30 minutes. It also includes a preview of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
Everyday use
The season works well for a dedicated viewing session or for watching in installments, with Rick and Michonne’s search providing a clear thread from episode to episode. The story moves between their separation, the dangers of the world around them, and the possibility of finding a way home together. Viewers looking for a character-led story can follow that relationship while still getting the series’ horror and survival conflict.
As a DVD release, it’s a natural fit for a physical-media collection and for viewing on a DVD setup that supports NTSC discs. The English-language format and stated runtime make it straightforward to choose for a planned rewatch or to add this season alongside other titles in a collection. The included preview offers an additional look at the series.
Pros
The strongest distinction is its focus on Rick and Michonne rather than a broader story centered on multiple characters. Their shared history gives the search for one another an emotional core, while the dangerous new setting keeps the stakes tied to the wider world of The Walking Dead. The cast includes Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Pollyanna McIntosh, and Terry O’Quinn.
Customer feedback also highlights the cast and the conclusion to Rick and Michonne’s story. Some viewers describe the season as a satisfying continuation of the main series, making it appealing to fans who want to see this part of the story brought together. Those reactions are personal opinions, but they point to the season’s central draw: a familiar pair at the heart of a self-contained story.
What matters most
The choice is mainly about the kind of Walking Dead story you want to watch. This season puts Rick and Michonne’s relationship and reunion at the center, with horror, drama, and mystery-thriller elements shaping the challenges they face. It’s a different viewing focus from choosing a title primarily for a large ensemble or an unrelated storyline in the franchise.
The physical format is DVD, NTSC, and the listed runtime is 4 hours and 30 minutes. Those details help you match the release to your viewing setup and decide how it fits into your collection. The special feature is a preview of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
