At a glance
The story follows Finn, the teenager who killed the Grabber, as the killer returns from beyond the grave to torment Finn’s sister, Gwen. Haunted by horrific visions, the siblings set out to stop the psychological torture and uncover a disturbing secret. That mix of family stakes, supernatural menace, and mystery gives the film a clear appeal for viewers who want more than a straightforward slasher story.
This release is on DVD, with English and Spanish audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. The R rating is useful context when choosing a movie for a household or planning a group viewing. The Collector's Edition also includes deleted scenes, “Dialed In: The Cast of Black Phone 2,” “A Story Carved in Ice,” “Frozen in Time,” and feature commentary with director, co-writer, and producer Scott Derrickson. Those extras make the edition especially relevant to viewers who enjoy revisiting a film and learning more about its cast and production.
Practical tips
Choose this DVD when you want a physical-media edition of the film rather than a streaming-only way to watch it. Check that your viewing setup supports DVD playback, then select the English or Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track to suit your preference. With a runtime of 1 hour and 54 minutes, it works for a planned movie night, while the deleted scenes and commentary provide additional material for a later viewing.
The bonus content gives this edition a different focus from a basic movie-only release: it includes both cast and story featurettes, as well as commentary from Scott Derrickson. Viewers who like to follow a film with behind-the-scenes material can make the extras part of the viewing experience instead of treating the DVD as just the feature presentation.
Who it’s for
This release is aimed at horror and mystery-suspense fans, particularly viewers familiar with the original film who want to see the next chapter in Finn and Gwen’s story.
