Full Contact 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray, Cantonese Action Film
Product description
How to use it
The 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray format brings Full Contact to home viewing in a release built around the film’s Cantonese audio and action-driven story. A 4K scan from the original camera negative and Dolby Vision presentation give the edition a clear focus on its restored image, while optional English subtitles make the dialogue accessible to English-speaking viewers.
The film runs 1 hour and 39 minutes, making it a feature-length pick for a focused movie night or a Hong Kong action collection.
Why it makes sense
Gou Fei agrees to help his friend Judge settle a gambling debt by joining a weapons heist. When the job goes wrong and Judge betrays him, Gou Fei sets out to take revenge. That setup puts loyalty, betrayal, and retaliation at the center of a story directed by Ringo Lam and starring Chow Yun-Fat, Simon Yam, and Anthony Wong.
The release adds material for viewers who want more than the feature itself. Its extras include interviews with actor Simon Yam, martial arts director Ridley Tsui, and film historian Frank Djeng, plus an audio commentary by Hong Kong film critic James Mudge. A location gallery, poster and lobby card gallery, and theatrical trailer round out the bonus content, offering several ways to explore the film’s production and history.
Buyers have praised the movie’s action, cast, and standing as a Hong Kong action classic. Some also single out Chow Yun-Fat’s performance. Those reactions may be especially relevant if you’re choosing between a familiar action title and a release that pairs the film with interviews and commentary.

When it makes sense
Choose this edition for a home collection centered on Hong Kong action cinema, or when you want Full Contact with supplemental material that adds perspectives from its cast, martial arts director, and a film historian. The 4K scan and Dolby Vision presentation make the image format a defining part of the release, while optional English subtitles support viewing for audiences who do not speak Cantonese. It makes sense if you’re looking for both the feature and a substantial set of film-related extras in one release.
