Good Boy SHU00589DVD DVD, Widescreen Horror Movie with Bonus Features

For a suspenseful movie night built around an unusual point of view, Good Boy follows Indy, a loyal dog who senses a threat inside his owner Todd’s new country home. This widescreen DVD presents a haunted-house story through the bond between a dog and his best friend, as Indy tries to protect Todd from a presence the human occupants may not see.

The film runs 1 hour and 12 minutes and is rated PG-13. Its compact runtime suits a focused horror viewing, while behind-the-scenes material and a director-and-producer commentary give fans additional ways to explore the movie after the story ends.

Usage tips

Good Boy suits viewers looking for supernatural suspense with a canine lead rather than a conventional human-centered haunted-house setup. The story moves from a change of setting—Todd and Indy leave city life for a long-vacant family home—to strange signs inside the house: Indy notices an unseen presence, encounters warnings connected to a long-dead dog, and witnesses visions tied to the previous occupant’s death. As Todd’s condition worsens, the threat becomes a test of Indy’s devotion and determination.

That dog-centered perspective gives the familiar haunted-house premise a distinctive focus: Indy’s wariness of the house contrasts with his unwavering affection for Todd. It is a practical pick when you want a complete horror feature without committing to a longer runtime, or when a supernatural story led by an animal sounds more appealing than one built around a typical human investigator.

Why it makes sense

The central relationship gives the eerie setting an emotional thread. Indy is not simply reacting to unsettling corners and unexplained signs, he is trying to keep his owner safe as Todd succumbs to the forces surrounding the house. The result combines supernatural tension with a clear personal stake, making the story’s danger easy to follow even as its presence remains mysterious.

The DVD also includes several extras for viewers interested in how the film came together. A making-of featurette, behind-the-scenes extras, and a development diary offer production-focused material, while commentary from director Ben Leonberg and producer Kari Fischer adds a guided perspective on the film. Customers describe the movie as engaging and distinctive, with some noting that its unusual approach kept them absorbed throughout.
