The hamper is designed to stand upright when opened, with rigid wire sewn into the top edges to help it hold its shape. The maker also describes the handles as reinforced with stitching.

Who it’s for

This is a useful format for households that want a sizeable laundry container without committing to a rigid basket that stays in place. Its 80L capacity suits collecting everyday washing, while the foldable construction is handy in a student room, apartment, camper or other space where storage matters. It can also hold towels or toys when it is not being used for laundry.

Buyers often praise the generous capacity and ease of carrying, and some find it useful as a corner laundry bin or for storing towels. Feedback on sturdiness and the material is mixed, so the most consistent appeal is its roomy, portable format rather than a particular look or feel.

Getting the most from it

Open the hamper fully before loading it so it can stand in its intended shape. Keep it where clothes are gathered, then use the handles to move the load when needed. When the hamper is not in use, fold it down to save space. The PE coating is intended to help keep stored items dry, to protect it, clean the hamper without using a washing machine or tumble dryer.

For a practical laundry setup, the choice is often between a rigid basket that remains ready in one spot and a container that can be put away between uses. The Lifewit’s collapsible design and extended handles suit a routine that involves moving washing around or reclaiming floor space when the hamper is empty.

Questions before you buy
