SONGMICS LCB506B01 65L Laundry Basket with Lid and Removable Mesh Liner

Best use cases

For bedrooms, bathrooms and laundry rooms where floor space is limited, the SONGMICS LCB506B01 provides a tall, narrow place to collect laundry. Its 42 x 22.5 x 70.5 cm footprint is designed to fit into tight corners. The 65L capacity keeps everyday clothes together, while the lid conceals laundry between wash days.

The removable mesh liner makes laundry day more straightforward: detach it from the basket and use its drawstrings as carrying handles. The mesh liner can also serve as a wash bag for machine washing clothes. For a small home, flatshare or a compact utility area, that means one container can take laundry from the room to the washing machine without requiring a separate carry basket.

Unlike an open laundry basket, this model has a lid to keep the contents out of view and a slim shape that makes use of narrow floor space. It also collapses for storage when it is not needed. The 600D Oxford fabric is water- and tear-resistant, and the frame is supported by fibreglass poles. The manufacturer advises against leaving it in a damp environment for an extended period.

Why it’s worth it

The useful detail here is the removable liner, not just the extra capacity. Its hook-and-loop fasteners hold it in place inside the basket, then release it for carrying, the drawstrings provide handles, and the mesh can be used as a washing bag. This makes the route from bedroom or bathroom to machine washing simpler, while the lid keeps the laundry neatly out of sight in between.

The bamboo handles add a natural contrast to the ink-black fabric, and the overall shape is made for a narrow spot rather than a wide stretch of floor. When laundry storage is no longer needed, the collapsible construction makes the basket easier to put away than a fixed-shape hamper. Customers commonly praise its tidy appearance, straightforward assembly and ability to fit the space they had in mind, some also describe it as roomier than expected. These are individual impressions, while the stated capacity is 65 litres.

What to clarify

Can the liner be carried separately? Yes. It detaches from the basket, and its drawstrings double as handles for carrying laundry.

Can the mesh liner go to the washing machine? The liner is designed to serve as a wash bag for machine washing clothes.

How does it fit into a narrow room? Its dimensions are 42 x 22.5 x 70.5 cm, with a slim profile intended for tight spaces and corners.

Buying verdict

It suits you if you want a lidded laundry hamper that makes good use of a narrow corner and helps streamline carrying clothes to the washing machine. The 65L capacity, removable mesh liner and collapsible design make the SONGMICS LCB506B01 a practical fit for everyday laundry storage in a bedroom, bathroom or laundry room.
