SONGMICS LCB832L101 Brosi 160L Pedal Laundry Hamper, Two Compartments

Keep laundry organised in a bedroom or bathroom with a covered hamper that separates light and dark clothes as they come off. The SONGMICS Brosi has a generous 160L capacity and two removable liner bags. A pedal opens the lid, so you can add clothes without bending to lift it. Could that make everyday sorting simpler?

Key features

Two compartments let you sort washing at the point you put it away, rather than having to separate a mixed load later. The 160L capacity gives household laundry a dedicated place, while the lid helps keep dust away and maintains a tidier-looking room. Its soft-close action lowers the lid slowly and quietly after use.

Each liner bag lifts out by its top handles, making it easier to carry clothes to the washing machine. A handle at the bottom helps empty a bag without having to turn it upside down. This is a practical alternative to carrying a whole laundry basket from room to room: the hamper stays in place while you take only the load you need to wash.

The cappuccino-colour outer fabric has a water-resistant finish and can be wiped clean. Inside, the polyester fabric provides a soft surface for clothes. The contemporary textured lid gives the hamper a finished look suited to a bedroom or bathroom, rather than leaving laundry loose on the floor.

Fit and sizing

Measuring 56 x 40.5 x 75 cm, the hamper is designed to sit neatly in a bathroom or bedroom. Its 160L capacity and two sections make it useful for keeping separate loads together in one footprint. Check the space where you plan to place it, allowing room to operate the pedal and remove the liner bags comfortably.

The frame uses a plastic support and 12 mm steel tubes. Assembly involves inserting the four tubes, with no tools required, the one-piece inner bag needs no assembly. The hamper weighs 3.5 kg. Its maximum static load is 20 kg, so keep the total contents within that limit.

Getting the most from it

Place it where laundry is usually changed or removed, then use the two compartments to sort clothes as they are added. When it is time to wash, lift out the relevant liner by its top handles and carry it to the machine. The bottom handle is there to help tip clothes out directly, reducing the need to handle each item individually.

The pedal is useful when your hands are full, while the covered design keeps the hamper closed between uses. For day-to-day care, wipe the water-resistant outer fabric clean. Avoid putting sharp objects inside, as they can damage the fabric. When the hamper is not needed, its collapsible design allows it to be folded away.

When it makes sense

This hamper suits homes that want a single laundry station with sorting built in, particularly where keeping clothes off the floor matters. The two removable liners offer a more organised approach than a single-compartment basket, while the pedal lid and carry handles support a simple routine from collection to washing machine. Choose it for a bedroom or bathroom where its 56 x 40.5 x 75 cm footprint fits and its 160L capacity can handle the household’s usual laundry between washes.
