Lifewit 23177 Slim Laundry Basket with Lid, Silver Grey, Foldable Oxford Cloth

For a narrow bedroom corner, compact bathroom or utility room, the Lifewit 23177 gives dirty laundry a dedicated place without taking up much floor space. Its slim rectangular shape measures 42 x 23 x 72 cm, while the lid keeps clothes out of sight and helps contain odours.

A removable inner bag makes it easier to carry laundry to the washing machine without moving the whole basket. When you need the floor space back, remove the support poles and fold the basket for storage.

Getting the most from it

Set the basket on the floor in a convenient spot, such as beside a wardrobe or in a bathroom corner. Assembly involves inserting the four support poles into the corners, then placing the inner bag inside. The upright design gives laundry a defined home, while the narrow footprint suits spaces where a wider basket would be awkward.

When the bag is ready to go to the laundry room, lift it out by its handle and carry the contents separately. The removable bag can be machine washed and can also be used as a laundry protection bag during a wash cycle. The lid is useful for keeping clothing covered between washes, helping the room look tidier.

What stands out

The Oxford cloth body is described as thick and waterproof, with a bamboo frame opening and four supportive fibreglass rods to help the basket stand upright. A long side handle makes it easier to move from a bedroom or bathroom to the laundry area. Together, these details make it a practical alternative to a rigid hamper when you want a laundry container that can be folded away when not in use.

Buyers often praise its compact size, appearance and straightforward assembly, with some appreciating how it fits into a bedroom corner or university room. Feedback on stability is mixed, and some buyers mention concerns about the inner bag or lid. The removable liner remains a useful feature for carrying laundry separately and keeping the main basket in place.

You’ll like it if you want a tall, narrow hamper with a lid and a removable bag rather than a broad, fixed laundry basket. Its foldable construction also suits occasional use in a motorhome or on camping trips, as well as everyday laundry storage at home.
