Janod J03311 Wooden Chicken Coop Toy with 9 Chickens and Removable Ladder
Product description
For children from 18 months who are ready to explore farm play, the Janod J03311 turns a chicken coop and its wooden animals into a setting for making up stories. The pieces are sized for little hands, giving toddlers a hands-on way to move the chickens and bring their own ideas to life.
With a wooden coop, nine chickens and a removable ladder, this playset gives children more to explore than a group of loose animal figures. Different entrances and moving parts invite them to try new ways to place and retrieve the chickens.
Key features
The coop has a sliding front door, a side door secured with elastic and a hen-shaped opening. These varied access points encourage children to experiment with how the chickens enter and leave, while helping them practise fine motor movements. The removable ladder can be positioned as part of the scene, giving play an extra element to arrange.
Made from FSC wood and finished with water-based paint, the set includes one chicken coop, nine wooden chickens and one removable ladder. Its farm theme gives toddlers a familiar starting point for imaginative play: they can place the chickens inside, move them between openings and invent a different little farmyard story each time. Handling and repositioning the pieces also supports dexterity and creative play.
Tips for day-to-day use
Keep the coop and chickens together as a ready-to-play farm scene, or let your child arrange the pieces from scratch. A simple routine, such as moving the chickens in and out through the different openings, makes it easy to explore the doors and ladder at a toddler’s own pace. The wooden pieces are designed for small hands, so children can handle them directly as they play.
Usage tips
Start by showing how the sliding door and elastic side door move, then let your child choose which entrance to use. The hen-shaped opening adds another way to interact with the coop, while the ladder can be taken off and repositioned as the scene changes. For a practical play session, a child might place the chickens inside, guide them through the openings and set the ladder in a new position before beginning another story.
This set suits families looking for a focused farm playset rather than a collection of separate figures alone: the coop gives the animals a home and offers several ways to interact with the scene. Its recommended age range is 18 months to 4 years.
