BANDAI CO42713 Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Spider-Man Action Figure, Glow-in-the-Dark

What matters most

For children aged four and up who enjoy hands-on superhero play, this BANDAI Spider-Man figure adds a tactile twist to an action figure collection. Its Goo Jit Zu filling lets children squeeze, squish and stretch the character, while the glow-in-the-dark feature brings a different look to play and display. It can stretch up to three times its size and returns to its original shape. Choose this for interactive sensory play, a traditional rigid figure is a better fit when the priority is a fixed pose for display.

The figure is designed for manual play, with no batteries required and no assembly needed. Its multicoloured Spider-Man design connects imaginative adventures with a recognisable Marvel character, and the stretchy, squishy feel gives children something to explore as they invent their own superhero scenes. The play is described as mess-free, so the tactile element comes from the figure itself rather than a separate gooey activity.

Getting the most from it

Use Spider-Man as the centre of a tabletop superhero story: children can send him into an imaginary rescue, squeeze and stretch him during the action, then set him aside for display. The glow-in-the-dark feature offers another way to enjoy the character, while the return-to-shape design supports repeated squeezing and stretching during play. It is intended for indoor use, and adult supervision is advised.

For a child choosing between a figure that mainly holds a pose and one that invites touch and movement, Goo Jit Zu offers a more active way to play. Its stretchy action is the defining feature, while the Spider-Man character and glow effect also make it suitable for a Marvel-themed collection.

Who it’s for

This figure suits children aged four and up who like superhero role play, tactile toys and making up their own adventures. It can also appeal to collectors looking for a Spider-Man figure with a distinctive glow-in-the-dark feature. As a single action figure, it works as a standalone character for imaginative play or as an addition to a wider Heroes of Goo Jit Zu collection. If the main aim is a toy to squeeze and stretch as part of a story, rather than a static display piece, its design is particularly relevant.
