BANDAI SPIRITS MK57426 Thousand Sunny Grand Ship Collection Model Ship

For One Piece fans who want the Thousand Sunny as a ship-focused display piece, this model kit brings the anime vessel to a collection. It is made from PVC and includes an ocean-surface part. Assembly is designed to be done without glue or paint. Choose it for a hands-on model-building project rather than a ready-made character figure.

Usage tips

Set aside a clear spot for the assembled model and its ocean-surface part, using the listed dimensions of 31 x 7.5 x 19 centimetres as a guide. The kit is compatible with Action Base 2 if you want to use that display base, it is not included. As the build involves fitting model parts together, take care as you assemble them. This makes a practical project for an anime fan who enjoys putting a collectible together as well as displaying it.

Pros

The Thousand Sunny gives this kit a clear place in a One Piece collection: it focuses on the crew’s ship, rather than a character portrait or a general anime-themed ornament. The included ocean-surface part adds a nautical setting for display, while the PVC construction and defined 1:25400 scale make it easy to identify as a model-building piece. With no glue or paint required for assembly, it also suits fans looking for a kit that does not call for those materials.

Buyers often praise the model’s appearance and artwork details, and some find the build straightforward with clear instructions. Feedback on assembly is mixed, however, with other buyers describing the instructions as unclear, reports also mention parts breaking during assembly. That makes careful handling worthwhile, particularly when fitting the pieces. For someone choosing between a character figure and a ship model, the Thousand Sunny offers a more vessel-centred addition to the shelf and a build to take part in before display.

Practical questions

Does assembly require glue or paint? The product information describes the model as easy to install without glue or paint, so it is intended as a build that does not require either.

What comes with the model? An ocean-surface part is included to accompany the Thousand Sunny. Action Base 2 is compatible with the model but is not included.

What scale is the Thousand Sunny model? It is listed at 1:25400, a useful detail when deciding how it will sit alongside other pieces in a model or anime collection.

Buying verdict

If you want to add the Thousand Sunny itself to a One Piece display, this kit combines a recognisable ship subject with an ocean-surface part and a glue-free, paint-free assembly approach. It is particularly suited to fans who enjoy the process of building a model as much as choosing a piece to show on a shelf.
