Hape E6024 Quadrilla Super Spirals Wooden Marble Run Expansion Pack
Product description
Made from wood, the Hape Quadrilla Super Spirals is a 129-piece marble run expansion pack for children aged four and up. Its two-sided spiral pieces send marbles inwards or outwards, giving young builders different ways to shape a run. Where will the marble go next? That changing route is part of the fun, as children assemble the pieces and watch how each section guides the marble.
Strengths
The double-sided spirals offer two ways to direct the marbles: position a spiral to send them towards the centre, or turn it to send them around the outer ring. This gives the build a clear, hands-on focus: children can change the layout and see how the route changes, rather than simply following one fixed track.
Four control blocks divert marbles at random, adding an unpredictable turn to each run. A rotating tower, transparent tunnels and a xylophone rail bring further variety to the construction. Together, these features make the set useful for building, testing and rearranging routes, with plenty to explore during shared play. The different sections also provide a practical way to introduce ideas such as direction, sequence and spatial awareness through play.
The essentials
- Pieces: 129-piece set
- Material: Wood
- Recommended age: 4–12 years
- Model: E6024
The Super Spirals is presented as an expansion pack for the Quadrilla wooden marble run range. Its varied components suit children who enjoy designing a route as much as watching the marbles travel through it. Compared with a simpler run built around a single track, the spiral positions and diverting blocks put more emphasis on changing the route and seeing what happens next.
How to use it
Arrange the spirals in either position to choose whether marbles move towards the centre or around the outside. Add the control blocks, tower, tunnels and xylophone rail to build a route, then adjust the arrangement to explore different paths. This makes a natural activity for a family play session: one person can plan a section while another adds to the build or follows the marble through the course.
The Hape Quadrilla app provides step-by-step instructions for building. These can help children get started with the components and give them a structure to follow before they begin changing the layout themselves. The set’s construction and rearrangement also encourage logical thinking and problem-solving as children work out how the pieces connect to guide a marble.
Should you buy it?
The Hape Super Spirals is suited to children aged four and up who like building toys with a moving result. Its strongest appeal is the combination of two-way spirals, random diversions and varied track components: children can create a run, watch it in action and then make a different one. As a Quadrilla expansion pack, it is worth considering if you want a hands-on building activity that brings route planning and shared play together.
