Goody King MON-5DY Magnetic Building Blocks, 300-Piece Forest Library Set

Build a forest library, green hills and winding paths for imaginative indoor play. This Goody King magnetic building set brings together 300 pieces for children aged 3+, with a woodland theme to inspire both construction and storytelling.

Foxes, eagles, hives and stone guardians help turn each build into a scene. Books, torches and a wagon add story details once the structures are in place.

The pieces connect magnetically, so children can assemble their own creations by hand and change them as new ideas take shape. The set is designed to encourage spatial imagination, creative thinking and problem-solving.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the pieces out on a clear indoor surface and let children start by connecting blocks into a structure. They can then add the forest details and make a library, a path through green hills or another woodland scene. Because the set combines building pieces with story-led elements, it naturally supports a change of pace: a child can focus on constructing, then use the finished scene for imaginative play.

For shared play, children can take turns adding to the same setting or inventing what happens next. This makes the set useful for a quiet activity at home as well as a creative activity with a sibling or friend. Assembly is manual, with magnetic connections bringing the pieces together.

Benefits

The forest-library theme gives children a starting point without dictating what they have to build. A collection of plain geometric blocks leaves the story entirely open, here, woodland animals and props offer ready-made prompts while still leaving room for children to create their own scenes. The result is a set that links construction with pretend play rather than focusing only on the finished structure.

Building with the magnetic pieces gives children an opportunity to practise spatial thinking and problem-solving as they work out how to arrange a scene. The product is also described as supporting fine motor skills, concentration and patience. These are play-based activities, with children able to build, rearrange and develop a story at their own pace.

Customer feedback is positive about the enjoyment of building and the magnetic connection between pieces. Some buyers highlight the magnets’ ability to hold blocks together well, which can help when children are assembling their creations.

The essentials

The set contains 300 magnetic building pieces and features 34 designs in a forest theme. Listed scene details include foxes, eagles, hives, stone guardians, books, torches and a wagon, alongside forest libraries, green hills and paths. The pieces are made from plastic and intended for indoor use. The manufacturer recommends the set for children aged 3 and up.

Rounded edges and stated EN71 compliance are noted for the blocks. The hands-on format makes the set a practical choice for children who enjoy arranging pieces, building structures and creating stories around what they have made.

Final verdict

Goody King’s 300-piece forest set suits children aged 3+ who enjoy creative building with a story to shape around it. Its magnetic pieces support hands-on construction, while the woodland designs and characterful props give each play session plenty of ways to develop into a new scene.
