TRUE IMAGE Toner and Drum Set TN920XL

When a Brother printer handles regular document runs, replacing toner and the drum together can simplify the supply decision. This TRUE IMAGE compatible set includes two TN920XL/TN920 black toner cartridges and one DR920 drum unit, for listed Brother printer models.

It’s a three-piece supply bundle, not a printer upgrade. The key decision is whether your exact printer is on the compatibility list and whether buying toner and a drum together suits your replacement needs.

Where it shines

The bundle is aimed at buyers who want toner on hand and a replacement drum in the same package. Each high-yield toner cartridge is listed for 6,000 pages, while the drum unit is listed for 45,000 pages, both at 5% coverage on Letter/A4. Those figures give you a useful point of comparison, but actual page counts can vary with what you print, documents with heavier coverage may use toner differently than the stated test condition suggests.

For example, if you print a batch of office reports and notice the toner supply is running low, having a second cartridge included gives you another replacement ready to use. The drum is a separate component with its own stated yield, rather than a third toner cartridge. If you prioritize having both types of supplies together, this set fits that approach, if you prefer to replace only the specific component you need, buying supplies separately may be a better match.

Without having tried it, the practical appeal is the included quantity and stated yields, not a verified print-quality result. The listing describes clear prints, but offers no further detail about output characteristics or performance testing.

Quick overview

The package contains two TN920XL/TN920 toner cartridges and one DR920/DR-920 drum unit. It is listed as compatible with Brother models including the HL-L5210DN, HL-L5210DW, HL-L6210DW, HL-L6310DW, MFC-L5710DW, and MFC-L5915DW, among others. The full model list also includes printers such as the HL-L6415DW, DCP-L5510DN, and MFC-L6915DW.

Compatibility is the main thing to get right: a similar-looking printer name is not enough to confirm a match. Check the exact model number against the listing before choosing. You’ll appreciate it if you own a listed printer and want toner plus a drum in one purchase. It’s not for you if your Brother model is not named or you only need one replacement component right now.

Best use cases

This set makes the most sense for someone planning ahead for recurring document printing and comfortable keeping an extra toner cartridge in reserve. The stated drum yield is substantially higher than the yield listed for an individual toner cartridge, so the two components are not expected to be replaced on the same schedule. That distinction helps explain why the bundle includes two toners but only one drum.

It may be less convenient for a buyer who wants a single cartridge for an immediate replacement, since this package also includes another toner and a drum. No installation or maintenance instructions are provided in the product details, so the listing alone does not answer questions about setup or care.

Buying verdict

Choose this TRUE IMAGE set if your exact Brother printer appears on the compatibility list and you have a use for both toner cartridges and the DR920 drum. The page-yield figures offer a planning reference, but the 5% coverage condition matters when comparing them with your own printing. If you only need toner, need a drum alone, or cannot confirm your printer model, a component-specific option is the more direct fit.
