IRIS USA 588426 Large Corner Cat Litter Box, Covered Navy/White Design

The 21 x 16.13 x 14.25-inch plastic litter box has a triangular footprint designed to sit in a corner. Its covered, navy-and-white design combines a space-conscious placement with high sides and a flap entry, making it useful when you want to keep a litter area tucked neatly into a room.

For a corner that needs to do double duty, this enclosed box offers a different layout from a conventional rectangular tray. The lid and high sides help contain litter and spray, while the curved bottom makes scooping more straightforward. A litter scoop is included.

Benefits

The angled shape puts an otherwise unused corner to work, which can be especially helpful in a small apartment or a room with limited floor space. At 21 inches long, it provides a designated litter area without the broad, rectangular footprint of many open trays. The covered form also creates a more discreet placement beside a wall or in a utility area.

A flap door provides an entry for cats while helping contain odors and stray particles. The opening measures 8.5 inches wide by 8 inches high, and the design is described for kittens, small cats, and medium-sized cats. For a practical daily routine, the lid can be removed for access, and the included scoop helps with regular litter removal. The lid buckles to the pan, and a grip handle makes moving the box easier.

Key features

This IRIS USA model 588426 is a covered litter box made of plastic, with overall dimensions of 21 inches long, 16.13 inches wide, and 14.25 inches high. Its 90-degree corner design is the defining difference: choose it when fitting the litter station into a corner matters more than choosing a standard open pan that can be positioned anywhere. The navy-and-white finish gives the covered container a defined look for a home setting.

The high sides and lid add containment around the litter area, while the curved base supports scooping. Buyers often appreciate that the top is easy to remove for cleaning, and some find the box works well for their cats. Feedback on the size is mixed, however, and reports about the flap and handle include concerns about parts coming loose or breaking. Those buyer experiences are worth keeping in mind when deciding whether this enclosed corner format suits your cat and routine.

How to take care of it

The plastic surface is designed to wipe clean and resist stains. For routine care, remove the lid to reach the pan, scoop waste with the included scoop, and wipe down the surfaces as needed. The curved bottom helps make scooping accessible, and the removable top gives you a clearer view of the pan during a more thorough clean. Reattach the lid securely to the base after cleaning.

Final verdict

The IRIS USA 588426 is built for cat owners who want a covered litter area that fits into a corner instead of taking up the middle of a room. Its triangular footprint, high-sided enclosure, flap entry, removable lid, and included scoop support a tucked-away setup and everyday cleanup. It is described for kittens through medium-sized cats, so its corner-saving layout is most useful when that size range and a discreet placement match your household.
