Medario 01litterbox Covered Cat Litter Box with Pull-Out Tray and Mat

For cat owners looking for a more contained litter area with an easier-to-manage cleaning routine, the Medario 01litterbox combines an enclosed design with a pull-out tray, a litter mat, and a scoop. Its front-entry, top-exit layout gives cats a defined route in and out, while the textured lid is designed to help catch loose litter as they leave.

The modular setup also offers an open-tray configuration for kitten training and an enclosed mode for adult cats.

Quick overview

This gray covered litter box is made from polypropylene and measures 20" L × 16" W × 15.2" H. The enclosed space gives cats room to enter, turn around, and dig, while the covered form adds privacy to their litter area. A drawer-style tray makes litter access more direct for scooping and changing, and the matching mat and scoop support the everyday cleanup routine.

The lid’s textured surface is intended to catch litter from paws on the way out. That gives the box a practical advantage over a basic open pan when you want to manage tracking around the surrounding floor. The mat provides another place to catch loose litter near the exit.

Care & maintenance

For routine upkeep, slide out the tray to scoop or refresh the litter, then wipe the polypropylene surfaces as needed. The included scoop is designed with a hook, so it can be kept close to the box between cleaning sessions. The included mat helps collect stray litter around the exit and can be handled as part of the same cleanup.

Buyers often appreciate the pull-out tray for cleaning and describe assembly as straightforward. Feedback on containment is mixed: some say the box helps keep litter in check, while others report litter escaping at the seams or urine leaking around the sides. Placing it on a surface that is easy to clean can be a practical choice for a litter area.

Tips for day-to-day use

The 2-in-1 design can be set up as an open tray for kittens from 2–6 months, supporting low-entry access during training, then changed to enclosed mode for cats 6 months and older. For adult use, position the box so the cat can approach the front entrance and step onto the top exit. The design is also described as top-entry and top-exit, offering another entry arrangement within its covered format.

What makes this layout useful for a home litter station? It brings the tray, exit surface, mat, and scoop together in one setup, so the main cleaning items stay close at hand. Buyers also report that their cats take to the box, though individual preferences can vary.

When it makes sense

It’s a great fit if you want a covered litter box that can shift from an open kitten-training setup to an enclosed adult-cat arrangement, with a drawer for scooping and a textured lid intended to catch loose litter. Its large footprint suits a designated litter area where the cat has room to enter, turn, and dig. Compared with choosing a simple open pan and sourcing cleanup accessories separately, this Medario setup brings a mat and scoop with the box. For households prioritizing an enclosed format and a more organized daily scooping routine, those features make it a purposeful choice.
