Cool Toner 414X High-Yield Toner Cartridge 4-Pack for HP 414A/414X

This four-cartridge set includes black, cyan, yellow, and magenta toner. It is designed as a compatible alternative for select HP Color LaserJet Pro and Enterprise printers. The cartridges come with chips installed, so transferring a chip from an existing cartridge is not required. Replacing a full color set suits a different need than buying just one replacement color.

Best use cases

The Cool Toner 414X set is intended for people who need all four toner colors for a listed printer, rather than a single replacement cartridge. It is described as compatible with select M479, M454, M455, and M480 series models, including the M479fdw, M479dw, M479fdn, M454dw, M454dn, M455dn, and M480f. Check that your exact printer model appears in the compatibility list before choosing it, the listing does not establish compatibility with every HP printer.

The stated page yields are 7,500 pages for black and 6,000 pages for each color cartridge, based on 5% coverage on Letter/A4 pages. Those figures offer a reference for comparing cartridge sets, but actual yield depends on how much toner a page uses. If you only need to replace one color, a single cartridge is a more targeted purchase than this four-pack.

What you’ll notice day to day

Having all four colors in one package is useful when several cartridges need replacement or when you prefer to keep a complete set ready. The installed chips also mean there is no chip-transfer step described for setup. For someone replacing just one depleted cartridge, though, the other colors may not be immediately needed.

Buyer feedback is positive about color quality, cartridge quality, and how long the toner lasts. Some buyers also describe the set as good value. Compatibility feedback is mixed: while some report that the cartridges work with their printers, others say their HP printers did not recognize them. That makes the exact printer match an important part of the decision, not a detail to assume from the brand name alone.

Buying verdict

It makes sense if you need a complete four-color set for one of the listed models and want cartridges supplied with their chips already installed. The stated yields may also help when comparing it with lower-yield options, provided you keep the 5% coverage basis in mind. You may want to skip it if your printer is not among the listed models, or if your immediate need is only one color. For a supported printer and a full-set replacement, this is a practical compatible-toner option, with buyer reports suggesting that recognition can vary by printer.
