E-Z Ink Replacement Ink Cartridges 270XL

Running out of ink mid-print is frustrating, especially when several colors need replacing. This E-Z Ink set bundles the listed black and color cartridges for compatible Canon PIXMA printers.

It includes six cartridges, so you can replace more than one depleted color without buying each separately. The set is intended for everyday document and image printing on the compatible models listed below.

The main trade-off is that page yield depends on what you print. The listed figures are estimates, not a guarantee for every mix of text, graphics, and photos.

Key specifications

This is a six-cartridge replacement set for Canon PGI-270XL and CLI-271XL ink cartridges. It contains one PGI-270XL PGBK cartridge, plus CLI-271XL black, cyan, magenta, yellow, and gray cartridges.

E-Z Ink lists yields of 500 pages for the PGI-270XL PGBK, 700 pages for each CLI-271XL cyan, magenta, yellow, and gray cartridge, and 5,565 pages for the CLI-271XL black cartridge at 5% coverage. Page yield is useful for comparing cartridge claims, but it may not reflect jobs with heavy graphics or photos. Without that measurement, the listed counts are hard to translate into how long the set will last in your own printer.

The supplied compatibility list includes Canon PIXMA MG5720, MG5721, MG5722, MG6820, MG6821, MG6822, MG7720, TS5020, TS6020, TS8020, and TS9020. Match your printer model and cartridge numbers before ordering, a similar-looking PIXMA model is not enough to establish compatibility.

Who it’s for

It suits you if you have one of the listed PIXMA printers and want a single set with black, gray, and the three standard color cartridges. For example, if your printer reports that cyan and black are depleted while you still need to print a document with colored charts, having those replacements together may save you from sourcing cartridges separately.

This is a replacement-ink purchase, not a printer upgrade. Someone choosing between this multipack and buying only one color should weigh the included colors against what their printer actually needs. You may want to skip it if your model is not on the compatibility list or you only need a single cartridge right now.

What you get

The package contents are one PGI-270XL PGBK, one CLI-271XL black, and one each of cyan, magenta, yellow, and gray. E-Z Ink describes the ink as producing crisp text and graphics, but the product details do not provide independent test results or further information about print performance. If consistent photo output is your main priority, the stated cartridge contents alone do not establish how prints will look on your paper and printer.

Practical doubts

Does this set include both black cartridges? Yes. The contents list includes one PGI-270XL PGBK and one CLI-271XL black cartridge.

Which printer families are named? The supplied list covers the specified PIXMA MG and TS models in the specifications section. Check the exact model number against that list before choosing the set.

Are the page yields guaranteed for every job? No guarantee is stated. The listing gives yield figures and identifies 5% coverage for the CLI-271XL black figure, but your results depend on the material you print.

Buying verdict

Choose this E-Z Ink multipack if your printer is among the listed models and you want all six specified cartridges together, including gray. It is a less targeted purchase than replacing just one depleted color, so that alternative may make more sense when the rest of your cartridges still have plenty of ink. The set’s value for your routine comes down to whether you can use the included colors and whether its stated compatibility matches your exact PIXMA model.
