BOIFUN BFN-161 Portable DVD Player, 15.6-Inch 1280 × 800 Swivel Screen, Purple

The 15.6-inch 1280 × 800 swivel screen gives movies and shows a roomy display, while its adjustable position makes it easier to set up for different viewing angles. With disc playback, USB and SD card support, and a rechargeable battery rated for up to six hours, the BOIFUN BFN-161 is built for entertainment at home or on the go.

Choose it for a personal screen during a car trip, or connect it to a compatible TV through RCA when you want to watch on a larger display. The purple finish adds a distinctive look to this portable player.

How to use it

Load a supported DVD or CD for direct playback, or use a USB drive or SD card for compatible digital files. The screen rotates up to 270° and flips up to 180°, so you can adjust its position for a seat, tabletop, or shared viewing setup. Last-memory playback can resume a disc from where you left off, and the anti-shock feature helps reduce interruptions to disc playback when the player is shaken.

For travel, the rechargeable battery provides up to six hours of playback, and the included car charger offers an in-car charging option. At home, use the included power adapter, or connect the player to a compatible television with the included AV cable. A 3.5mm headphone jack supports private listening.

Benefits

The large LCD screen is a practical alternative to watching on a smaller handheld display, especially when viewing a movie during a long ride or sharing a screen with a passenger. Its swivel-and-flip design gives you flexibility in how the display is positioned, while the simple controls are designed to be approachable for children and older adults.

Disc playback covers DVD, DVD±R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, and SVCD formats, Blu-ray discs are not supported. The player is region-free for DVD playback. USB and SD card playback supports files including VOB, AVI, MPEG, XVID, MP3, WMA, and JPEG, with USB drives and SD cards supported up to 32GB. That range is useful if you want to switch between movie discs and saved media without relying on one format alone.

Buyers commonly praise the screen size and picture, and some appreciate the sound and battery life for travel. Feedback on the remote control is mixed, so the built-in controls offer another way to operate the player.
