Who it’s for

This edition suits viewers who enjoy supernatural horror and want Black Phone 2 in a Blu-ray collection, as well as fans of the first film who want to continue Finn and Gwen’s story. Its R rating is a useful guide for households choosing movies for an audience. The Spanish audio track offers another way to watch, while English Dolby Atmos is available for viewers who prefer the English track.

For a casual watch, the main feature is ready to play on Blu-ray. For a more involved evening, the feature commentary and making-of content let fans spend more time with the film and its cast. Buyers deciding between a digital-only viewing and a physical edition may appreciate having the Blu-ray format alongside a digital copy, plus the listed bonus features.

Getting the most from it

After the movie, explore the deleted scenes and the cast featurette, Dialed In: The Cast of Black Phone 2. A Story Carved in Ice and Frozen in Time add two more featurettes, while the commentary with director, co-writer, and producer Scott Derrickson offers a production-focused companion to the film. These extras make the edition useful for viewers who like to revisit a story beyond its runtime.

The digital copy is subject to expiration. For redemption details, the included digital-copy information directs viewers to NBCUCodes.com. Choosing between the English and Spanish audio tracks can also help tailor the viewing to the household or movie-night group.

When it makes sense

Choose this edition when you want the sequel in Blu-ray format and value having bonus material to watch after the film. A streaming or digital-only option may suit someone focused solely on immediate viewing, this release is better aligned with a physical-media collection and viewers interested in deleted scenes, featurettes, and director commentary. It brings the main movie, two audio-language options, and a digital copy together for horror fans who want both the story and extras for a planned movie night or a return visit to the film.
