Halloween Ends (2022) Collector’s Edition DVD with Bonus Features
Product description
For a Halloween movie night centered on Laurie Strode’s final confrontation with Michael Myers, this Collector’s Edition brings Halloween Ends to DVD. The story follows Laurie and her granddaughter Allyson four years after the events of Halloween Kills. Alongside the feature, the edition includes deleted and extended scenes and several behind-the-scenes extras. The film is in English and has a runtime of 1 hour and 51 minutes.
How to use it
Play the NTSC DVD for a feature-length horror viewing, then explore the bonus content for additional material about the film. The story finds Laurie trying to move forward with her life while a young man, Corey, becomes the focus of suspicion in Haddonfield after a tragic accident. As violence returns to the town, Laurie and Allyson face the consequences of living in Michael Myers’ shadow, leading toward a final confrontation.
The film is rated R, a useful consideration when choosing a movie for a group or household. Its 1-hour-and-51-minute runtime also makes it easy to plan as a single feature for a dedicated movie night.
Why it’s worth it
This edition pairs the movie with extras for viewers who want more than the main feature. Deleted and extended scenes offer additional footage, while featurettes such as “No Place Like Haddonfield,” “Ending Halloween,” and “The Visions of Terror” provide more ways to explore the production and its approach to horror. A feature commentary with co-writer and director David Gordon Green, actors Andi Matichak and Rohan Campbell, and members of the production team adds another option after watching the film.
The story takes a different turn through Corey’s place in Haddonfield, while keeping Laurie and Michael’s history at its center. Buyers’ opinions on the movie are divided: some appreciate its direction and its place as a conclusion to the series, while others are less taken with the story or overall experience. That makes this edition especially relevant to fans who want to see the final chapter for themselves and have bonus material to revisit afterward.
Highlights
The Collector’s Edition contains Halloween Ends on DVD in NTSC format, with English listed as the language. The feature stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and Andi Matichak as Allyson. Its plot brings together Laurie’s effort to embrace life, Allyson’s attempt to build a future of her own, and Corey’s arrival as an outcast in Haddonfield. The included extras cover deleted and extended scenes, featurettes, and commentary, giving the disc value for viewers interested in both the story and the filmmaking around it.
