Why it makes sense
This webcam focuses on practical improvements that matter day to day, such as true 4K capture rather than software upscaling and automatic exposure adjustments that reduce fuss in poor lighting. The dual AI microphones lower background noise to help participants hear you clearly, according to the manufacturer. A privacy cover and lack of cloud storage reduce surface privacy concerns for office and home use.
Getting the most from it
If you often join video calls from different rooms, the C960’s 360° horizontal and 15° vertical adjustability makes repositioning straightforward, and the 1/4‑inch tripod thread offers more mounting flexibility. It’s simple to start with the USB plug and play setup, though you can tweak image settings via EMEETLINK if you want finer control. It’s a good fit if you prioritise image clarity over wide background capture, but bear in mind the 73° field of view frames the subject rather than the surroundings.
Compatibility & requirements
Works with Windows 10 and 11, macOS 10.10 and above, Android TV v7.0 and above, and Linux, and integrates with common platforms such as Zoom and Teams. No drivers, Wi‑Fi or cloud services are required, which keeps setup and privacy straightforward.
