SmarTect TPU Screen Protector for Google Pixel 9a, 2 Films and 2 Camera Covers
Product description
Google Pixel 9a owners looking to cover both the display and camera will find both types of protection in this SmarTect TPU set.
The flexible, glossy film is designed to provide full display coverage while keeping the screen clear and touch-sensitive. An oleophobic coating helps resist fingerprints and dirt.
The pack also includes two camera covers, plus cleaning and fitting accessories. This is a screen-film approach to everyday scratch protection rather than a tempered-glass option aimed at stronger impact protection.
Usage tips
Use the supplied wet wipes and microfibre cloth to clean the screen before fitting the film, then use the positioning aid and anti-dust stickers as directed. A clean surface and careful alignment matter when applying any screen protector, the included kit is intended to make that process easier and help avoid bubbles.
The flexible TPU film is described as case-friendly and suitable for full coverage. After application, small bubbles may fade as the film settles. The product information gives different time estimates for this, so it is best not to expect an immediate, perfectly clear finish. The film’s self-healing surface is also said to help small scratches disappear.

What you’ll notice day to day
The clear film is intended to preserve the display’s original appearance while adding a barrier against everyday scratches, dirt and fingerprints. Its stated high touch sensitivity should appeal if you want to keep using the phone’s touchscreen normally, rather than choose a less clear or privacy-focused covering. The glossy finish is worth bearing in mind if you prefer a matte screen surface.
Having camera covers in the same pack means the display and camera can be addressed together. For a typical daily routine, that may suit someone who wants to reduce contact marks and surface wear when carrying the phone in a pocket or bag. The TPU’s flexibility is the main point of difference from rigid tempered glass: the manufacturer describes TPU as flexible and suited to curved screens, while tempered glass offers stronger protection against drops. The product is described as compatible with the Pixel 9a, but no drop-protection rating is provided.
You’ll like it if you want a clear, flexible film with camera covers and fitting accessories included. You may want to skip it if protection from drops is your main concern, as the product information positions tempered glass as the stronger choice for that kind of impact.
Should you buy it?
This set makes sense for a Pixel 9a owner prioritising display clarity, touch sensitivity and scratch protection, with camera covers included in the same pack. The installation accessories are useful if you plan to fit the film yourself. Choose a tempered-glass protector instead if your main buying criterion is greater resistance to drops, the SmarTect set is presented as flexible, basic protection for lighter everyday stress.
