SmarTect TPU Screen Protector for Motorola Edge 40 Neo, 2 Films and 2 Camera Covers

If you want to protect a Motorola Edge 40 Neo display from scratches while keeping its original screen visible, this SmarTect set uses clear, flexible TPU film rather than a rigid glass cover.

The pack contains two screen films and two camera protectors, along with a positioning aid and cleaning accessories. That gives you a replacement film if an application does not go to plan.

The main choice is between flexible coverage and stronger impact protection: TPU is designed to follow curved edges and provide everyday scratch protection, while tempered glass is the more relevant approach if protection from drops is your priority.

What matters most

The screen films are made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), with a glossy, clear finish intended to preserve the display’s original appearance. The flexible material is specified for the Motorola Edge 40 Neo and is described as full coverage and case friendly, so it is aimed at fitting around the phone rather than adding a rigid layer over it.

SmarTect also lists anti-fingerprint and scratch-resistant features, plus high touch sensitivity. The oleophobic coating is intended to help resist fingerprints and dirt, which may matter if you use the phone frequently throughout the day. The set also includes two camera covers, giving you protection for the camera area as well as the screen.

This is a screen film, not a tempered-glass protector. The supplied product information positions TPU as a flexible option for curved displays and light everyday stress, it describes tempered glass as the stronger choice for impact and drop protection. It suits you if flexible, clear screen coverage is the priority. It might not be a great match if your main concern is protection from falls.

Usage tips

The kit includes a positioning aid, two wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, two anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual. Use the cleaning items before fitting the film and follow the included instructions to line it up. Dust or fingerprints beneath a clear protector can be noticeable, so taking care over preparation is particularly useful with this glossy finish.

The film is described as bubble free when applied with the installation kit, and its self-healing surface is said to help small bubbles or scratches disappear after fitting. The manufacturer information notes that small bubbles can take time to settle, so avoid judging the finish immediately after application. Two screen films are included, but the pack does not specify a separate screen-protector removal tool.

Everyday use

For everyday handling, the appeal is a clear layer that does not replace the look of the display with a privacy or matte finish. The flexible material is intended to adapt to curved screen edges, while the case-friendly design is useful if you plan to keep using a phone case. The kit’s camera protectors extend the package beyond screen-only coverage.

The manufacturer says the film does not affect fingerprint sensors, while noting that recalibration may rarely be needed after application. That is useful context if you rely on the sensor daily, though the supplied details do not specify how the film behaves with every individual case or sensor setup.

When it makes sense

Choose this set if you own a Motorola Edge 40 Neo and want clear TPU coverage for the display and camera area, with fitting accessories included. It is a practical alternative to buying a single screen film when having a spare matters. If drop protection is the deciding factor, the product information points towards tempered glass instead, for flexible coverage on a curved display, this TPU set is the more relevant fit.
