SmarTect TPU Screen Protector for Google Pixel 7a, 2 Films and Camera Protectors
Product description
Getting the most from it
Some Pixel 7a owners want a flexible film to help guard against everyday scratches, others are choosing protection mainly for drops. This SmarTect set takes the film route, with two TPU screen protectors and two camera protectors. It is designed for the Google Pixel 7a and includes tools for cleaning and positioning during installation.
The TPU film is clear, glossy and intended to retain touch sensitivity while helping resist fingerprints and dirt. Its flexibility is suited to screen edges, while the supplied camera protectors extend the set beyond the display. It’s a good fit if you want screen and camera coverage in one package and are comfortable applying a film yourself.

What you’ll notice day to day
The clear finish is intended to preserve the display’s original appearance, and the oleophobic coating helps reduce fingerprints and dirt. High touch sensitivity is listed as a feature, so the film is aimed at everyday phone use rather than adding a noticeable layer of interaction. The flexible material also makes it a different choice from rigid tempered glass, which the manufacturer describes as better suited to shock and drop protection. TPU is presented as basic protection under light stress, not as a substitute for a drop-focused option.
Installation is part of the decision. The wipes, cloth, dust stickers and positioning aid give you a dedicated kit to prepare the screen and place the film. Small bubbles or marks are said to fade after fitting, but the stated timing differs: the product details say within 24 hours, while the manufacturer’s additional information says bubbles usually disappear within 48 hours. What matters more for daily use: a flexible, clear film, or protection specifically aimed at impacts? The set’s stated strengths are scratch resistance, coverage and touch sensitivity, it does not claim tempered-glass-style drop protection.
What to clarify
Does the set include camera protection? Yes. The listed contents include two camera protectors alongside the two TPU screen films.
Will the fingerprint sensor still work? The manufacturer says the film should not affect fingerprint sensors, while noting that recalibration may be needed in rare cases after fitting.
Can the film be removed later? The manufacturer says it can be removed without adhesive residue or damage to the screen.
Is it worth it?
This set makes sense if you want a clear, flexible screen film for the Pixel 7a, camera protection and an installation kit together. The two films also provide a replacement if you need to fit another one later. It’s not for you if your priority is stronger protection against drops: the manufacturer positions TPU as basic protection under light stress and describes tempered glass as the more shock-resistant approach. Choose it for scratch-focused, flexible coverage rather than impact protection.
