YELLOW MOUNTAIN IMPORTS US-DM007-A Double 12 Mexican Train Dominoes Set

Bring a group together for Mexican Train dominoes with a set designed for clear number-reading and organized play. The Double 12 set includes 91 acrylic dominoes with bold etched numerals, making it easier to read the tiles and tally scores as the game unfolds.

A wooden hub and eight die-cast train markers give the play area a defined centre, while the score pad and illustrated instructions support a ready-to-play setup. The wooden storage case keeps the game components together between sessions.

Want a game that combines straightforward tile matching with room for tactical choices? The hub lets players start multiple trains during gameplay, adding a strategic element for a group of up to six.

Usage tips

Set out the wooden hub as the centre of play, then give the group room to arrange the dominoes and train markers around it. The illustrated guide helps players get started, and the score pad provides a dedicated place to keep track of results. With 91 Double 12 tiles, the set is suited to Mexican Train sessions where players build their trains from numbered dominoes.

The bold etched numbers are useful when several people are following the game at once: they’re made to be easy to read and tally, rather than relying on dot patterns. The hub also supports the game’s multiple-train strategy, giving players more to consider than simply placing the next matching tile. After play, the decorative wooden case offers a single place to organize the dominoes and accessories, and its 34 x 18 x 7 cm size makes it practical to store or take along.

Pros

This set brings the main parts of Mexican Train play together: a full Double 12 tile set, a wooden hub, train markers, scoring sheets and illustrated instructions. The numbered acrylic tiles are a distinct choice for players who prefer numerals to dots, with etched figures intended to make reading and scorekeeping easier. The wooden hub and four-colour metal markers add visible structure to the table, while the case keeps the components organized when the game is put away.

Buyers often highlight the set’s appearance, ease of use and readable tiles, and describe the gameplay as enjoyable. Feedback is more divided on value and on the dominoes themselves, so those comments are best treated as individual impressions rather than a promise of a particular experience. For a group choosing between a basic tile set and a more complete Mexican Train arrangement, the included hub, markers, score pad and guide offer a more ready-to-organize game setup.
