Yellow Mountain Imports Bleau Royal Chinese Mahjong Set, 146 Engraved Tiles

For a Chinese mahjong evening at home or a game night away, the Bleau Royal set brings 146 engraved melamine tiles together in a blue vinyl carry case. Its classic Chinese characters and symbols keep the focus on traditional Chinese-style play.

The tiles have striped backs and detailed engraved fronts. Melamine construction and a clear tile format make the pieces easy to handle and identify during a round.

A carry handle and dedicated space for the accessories make it practical to pack up and bring to another table. The set is designed for four players and includes English instructions to help get a game underway.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set out the tiles and accessories on a table, then organize the pieces for the chosen Chinese mahjong rules. The set works with major Chinese variants, including Hong Kong/Cantonese, Taiwanese and China Official (MCR) play. Its character-based tiles suit players looking for a traditional Chinese format rather than a set built around American/Western or Japanese/Riichi rules.

After play, store the tiles and accessories in the navy blue vinyl case. The fold-over flap closes with two snap closures, while the top handle makes it easier to carry the set to a friend’s home or another indoor gathering. The centre compartment provides a place for the dice, wind indicator and spare tiles.

Strengths

The main advantage is a tile set and format centred on Chinese gameplay. The classic characters and symbols, together with the listed tile assortment, support familiar Chinese mahjong variants without adding joker tiles or Arabic numerals to the standard tile faces. That makes the Bleau Royal a focused choice for players seeking this style of play, rather than a general-purpose set for several different mahjong traditions.

The engraved melamine tiles pair a practical material with clearly presented symbols, while the included dice and wind indicator provide key accessories for a session. For a regular home game, everything can be kept together in the case, for a social game elsewhere, its carry handle and compact case format make transport straightforward.
