donciety Geometric Chess Board Game Set for 2–4 Players, 84 Pieces

Set up a table game for a family afternoon, a party or a picnic with the donciety Geometric Chess Game. Players stretch rubber bands across pegs and use tokens to claim completed formations. Its hands-on play brings strategy and fine-motor activity together. The set is designed for 2–4 players.

Key points

This is a strategy game with a different feel from traditional chess: instead of moving chess pieces across a grid, players use rubber bands and pegs to build formations and compete for claims. Each round gives everyone a chance to plan where to stretch a band and respond to what other players are building. The player with the most claimed formations wins, making the goal easy to follow for a shared game.

The set includes one game board, four mini game boards, 84 game pieces and 50 rubber bands. Its ABS construction and manual operation suit straightforward tabletop play, while the mix of boards, pieces and bands gives players several components to handle and arrange. The game is intended for four players, and the product name describes it for 2–4, so it can work for a small group as well as a full table.

The rules are designed to be approachable for beginners, with a strategy element that gives players choices as they play. The manufacturer recommends the game for ages 3 and up. Buyers describe the gameplay as entertaining and the rules as easy to pick up, opinions on value for money are mixed.

Everyday use

Bring it out when the family wants a screen-free activity around the table, or add it to a party or picnic as a game that gives a group something to play together. The rubber-band mechanic makes each turn active: players stretch bands over the board’s pegs, then claim a completed formation with a token. That combination of planning and hand movement can support creative thinking, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination during play.

For a household choosing between a conventional chess set and a group strategy game, this set offers a more tactile, shared format. It centres on building formations and collecting claims rather than learning traditional chess-piece moves, so it provides a distinct way to bring strategy into family game time.

Tips for day-to-day use

Place the board and mini boards on a stable tabletop, then arrange the pieces and rubber bands within reach of the players before starting. Keep turns clear by having players take one at a time, stretch a band over the pegs and use a token when they complete a claim. The simple sequence helps new players follow along while the group focuses on where to build next.

After the game, gather the bands, tokens and other pieces together so the set is ready for the next family gathering. With its hands-on components and group format, it suits a regular game shelf as well as an outing where a tabletop activity is welcome. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended age guidance when choosing it for children.

Final verdict

The donciety Geometric Chess Game is suited to families and small groups looking for an accessible strategy activity with more hands-on interaction than a standard board-and-piece game. Its rubber-band-and-token play, four mini boards and 84 pieces give players a clear shared task, while the beginner-friendly rules make it easy to bring into family parties, picnics and everyday game time.
