The Purge: The Complete TV Series DVD, Both Seasons, NTSC Format

For viewers looking for the complete television story on DVD, The Purge: The Complete TV Series brings together every full episode from both seasons in one release.

Set in an altered America ruled by a totalitarian political party, the series centres on an annual 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. The premise sets up a suspense-driven look at the people drawn into the Purge and its consequences.

A single film offers one contained story, this DVD set is suited to viewers who want to follow the series across its full two-season run. It’s presented in DVD-Video, NTSC format, with English audio in Dolby Digital 5.1.

Strengths

The complete-series format makes it easy to continue through both seasons without treating the story as a standalone film. With a total runtime of 14 hours and 6 minutes, the collection suits a planned series watch, whether you prefer to watch several episodes in a sitting or return to it over time.

The show’s central idea gives its suspense a distinctive framework: a society where a government-sanctioned 12-hour period removes the usual consequences for crime. The series explores the people involved in that event, giving viewers a television-length perspective on the premise rather than limiting the story to a single instalment.

Key points

This is a DVD-Video release in NTSC format, with English audio presented in Dolby Digital 5.1. The Canadian Home Video Rating is ages 14 and over. Together, those details make it straightforward to identify the format, language and audience rating when choosing a physical copy for a home collection.

The listed bonus content for Disc 1 includes Season One features: “Take What’s Yours,” “The Giving Time is Here,” “I Will Participate,” “A Conversation with Cast & Crew,” “Anatomy of a Scene,” “Costumes & Props” and “Table Read.” These extras add cast-and-crew discussion and behind-the-scenes material alongside the episodes.

Usage tips

For a smooth viewing setup, use a DVD player or system that supports DVD-Video in NTSC format. The English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio is part of the presentation, so choose a playback arrangement that supports your preferred listening setup. The full-series runtime also lends itself to watching at your own pace: keep the episodes together for a longer viewing session or spread them across multiple evenings.

When it makes sense

Choose this release if you want both seasons of The Purge’s television story in a physical DVD format, along with selected Season One bonus features. It’s a practical fit for viewers drawn to horror and mystery-and-suspense storytelling who want more time with the series’ premise and characters than a single film provides. The complete run, English audio and NTSC DVD-Video presentation make it easy to know what kind of viewing experience this collection is intended to deliver.
