S.W.A.T. (2017) Seasons 1–4 DVD Set, NTSC Colour Edition

Viewers looking for S.W.A.T.’s first four seasons together can follow Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson as he leads a police unit in Los Angeles. This DVD set presents the series in colour and NTSC format. It’s suited to viewers who want a multi-season run in one collection. Those seeking just a single season may prefer a season-specific release instead.

At a glance

The set covers Seasons 1–4 of the 2017 S.W.A.T. series, centred on Hondo, a former Marine who becomes an officer of the law and leads his team in Los Angeles. His role puts him between the community where he grew up and his loyalty to his fellow officers, giving the series a clear focus on the demands of leadership and those divided allegiances. The cast includes Shemar Moore as Hondo, Alex Russell as Jim Street, and Stephanie Sigman as Jessica Cortez, Christina “Chris” Alonso is also among the characters named in the cast information.

The collection is on DVD, in NTSC format and colour. Its four-season scope makes it a practical choice for viewers who want to follow the show across multiple seasons without choosing a single season as their starting point. The Canadian home video rating is Ages 18 and over, a useful detail when selecting a title for a household or planning a shared viewing session.

Best use cases

Choose this set for a home viewing schedule built around the series rather than a one-off episode or standalone film. For example, it can suit someone planning to watch Hondo’s story and the team’s work over several sessions, or a fan looking to keep the first four seasons together on DVD. The series’ Los Angeles police-unit setting and Hondo’s position between two sides of his life provide a consistent point of focus as you continue watching.

A multi-season set also suits viewers who value having a longer stretch of one show ready to play. By contrast, a single-season release is a more focused purchase for someone who only wants one part of the series, this collection is aimed at viewers who want Seasons 1–4 together. The 18-and-over rating is worth considering when deciding whether it is suitable for the intended audience.

Practical tips

Before settling in, check that your DVD playback setup supports NTSC discs. This keeps the format detail in view when choosing a disc for a player or display setup. As the set is presented in colour, it is suited to viewers who want the series in its stated colour format rather than a black-and-white presentation.

For an at-home watch, pick a time when you can continue over multiple sessions if you want to follow the show across its four included seasons. Keeping the discs together makes it easier to return to the series and carry on with Hondo and his unit. The package is a physical DVD collection, so it can also suit viewers who prefer discs as part of their home media library.

When it makes sense

This collection makes sense for viewers who want more than a season-by-season sampler: it brings together the first four seasons of a series built around Hondo’s leadership of a Los Angeles police unit. The NTSC DVD format, colour presentation, named cast and clear 18-and-over rating all help set expectations before choosing it. For a longer run with the team and its central character, the Seasons 1–4 set is a straightforward way to keep that viewing choice in one collection.
