The series reimagines the story of Adora, an orphan who discovers a magic sword and leaves the Horde to join the Rebellion. As She-Ra, she helps bring magical princesses together to protect Etheria, with friends Glimmer and Bow by her side. Their efforts lead to the Princess Alliance’s conflict with Hordak and the Horde, where Adora’s childhood friend Catra becomes a central part of the opposition. Adventure, comedy and friendship run through the story, giving the set a mix of fantasy action and character-driven moments.
With three seasons collected in one DVD set, viewers can follow the larger story in sequence instead of choosing a single season at a time. The four-disc format makes this a practical pick for a planned series watch-through, whether that means an episode after school or a longer family viewing session. NTSC DVD-Video is the format to consider when choosing how to play the collection, the listed audio tracks offer English, French and Spanish options, each in Dolby Digital 5.1.
Who it’s for
This collection suits fans of animated fantasy, adventure and stories about friendship, courage and finding a new community. It’s also a fit for families looking for a series rated General Audience, with a story centred on Adora’s journey from the Horde to the Rebellion and the relationships she builds along the way. Viewers who enjoy ensemble casts will find the princess alliance at the heart of the series, while the ongoing conflict with the Horde gives the three-season collection a connected storyline to follow.
For a household with different language preferences, the English, French and Spanish audio tracks make it easier to choose a viewing language. The subtitles provide another viewing option. You’ll like it if you want several seasons of one animated story gathered on physical media rather than selecting a single-season release.
In the box
The collection is presented on four DVD-Video discs and covers Seasons 1–3. That gives viewers the series across a single set, ready for viewing in order and suited to keeping the early story arcs together on a shelf.
Should you buy it?
Choose this set if you want to follow She-Ra’s transformation, the formation of the Princess Alliance and its struggle against the Horde across the first three seasons. Its four-disc DVD format, 10 hours and 2 minutes of runtime, and three listed audio languages make it a useful fit for a multi-session series watch at home. For fans of animated adventures with an ensemble of heroes and a continuing story, it brings a substantial part of Etheria’s conflict together in one collection.
