The Full HD resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio provide a familiar format for games, video, and daily computer tasks. A refresh rate of up to 100Hz can make supported on-screen motion appear smoother than on a standard 60Hz display, while AMD FreeSync is listed as a feature for gaming. The FPS and RTS display modes offer settings designed around those two game genres, so you can select a mode that matches what you’re playing.
Tips for day-to-day use
Use DisplayPort or HDMI 2.0 to connect the monitor, with support for up to 100Hz through either connection. The built-in speakers keep audio on the display, which can help maintain a tidier desk setup for everyday use or gaming. For a lower-blue-light viewing setting during longer work or entertainment sessions, turn on Blue Light Shift.
The edgeless design gives the screen a streamlined look on a desk, and the VESA wall-mount pattern lets you choose a mounting position that works for your workstation. Its 100% sRGB color gamut is useful when you want vivid, defined color for games, images, and other visual content. The glossy screen surface is another consideration when choosing a display to match your workspace.
Getting the most from it
Set up the monitor around how you use your computer: choose the FPS or RTS mode for a corresponding game, or use it for general viewing and work. Select a DisplayPort or HDMI 2.0 connection, then arrange the display on a stand or use its VESA mounting pattern to suit your desk layout. These options make it straightforward to adapt the monitor for a gaming station that also handles everyday tasks.
Final verdict
The Sceptre E248W-FW100T is well suited to a compact gaming and work setup where a 24-inch Full HD display, up-to-100Hz refresh rate, and gaming-focused modes are useful. Built-in speakers, Blue Light Shift, and VESA mountability add practical flexibility, while 100% sRGB color brings a clearly defined color range to games and on-screen content.
