otoging AS12-auto91 Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box, Open-Top, 3-Button Control

The open-top design gives cats a clear view of their surroundings while making it easy to check the litter chamber. Three physical buttons provide direct control of routine functions, with no wireless pairing required. Multiple sensors monitor activity and unit status during cleaning. The result is an automated litter box with visible access and straightforward controls.

Who it’s for

This litter box suits cat owners looking to move from manual scooping to an automated cleaning routine while keeping an open, easy-to-inspect setup. The open top offers a different approach from enclosed designs: cats have an unobstructed view, and owners can see the chamber and unit status at a glance. It’s a great fit if you prefer physical controls over app-based operation and want routine commands available on the unit itself.

Customer feedback often points to easier day-to-day cleaning and convenience. Some buyers describe cats adapting quickly, while others say their cats did not use the box, reactions to its size are also mixed. Its listed dimensions are 21.02 x 21.9 x 15.8 inches, so those measurements can help you assess how it will fit in your home and your cat’s usual litter area.

Why it makes sense

The system combines seven sets of infrared sensors, a front radar pedal, and three pairs of Hall sensors to monitor cat activity and the unit during cleaning. This sensing setup supports the automatic cycle, and some customer feedback specifically mentions the sensors pausing and resuming cleaning. A chamber-fit check adds a practical setup safeguard: the unit is designed not to rotate if the litter chamber is not seated correctly.

The design also pairs electronic sensing with a half-gear mechanical structure that creates a physical boundary during movement. Together, these details distinguish it from a basic litter box that relies entirely on manual cleaning. For owners who want automation without wireless setup, the three-button interface keeps everyday commands on the machine.

Worth noting

The litter box is made from polypropylene (PP), comes in light gray, and weighs 20.7 pounds. Its open-top layout makes the chamber visible for routine checks, while the compact control approach keeps operation centered on three physical buttons. The product includes a one-year manufacturer warranty.

When it makes sense

Consider this model when a visible, open-top layout and automatic cleaning are priorities for your cat’s routine. For example, placing it in a regular litter area lets you check the chamber and unit status without opening a covered enclosure, while the sensor system monitors activity during cleaning. If you are comparing it with a conventional litter box, the main difference is the automated cycle, compared with an enclosed automatic design, this model emphasizes an open view and direct access. That combination makes the otoging AS12-auto91 a practical choice for households seeking automated litter care with simple on-unit controls.
