Mimfam AS11 Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Open-Top with 10L Bin
Product description
Some cat households need a litter box that can serve several cats, others want a calmer setup for a single pet. The Mimfam AS11 combines automatic cleaning with an open-top design. Its sensor system is designed to pause cleaning when a cat is inside.

The wide top entrance measures 16.33 by 15.35 inches, giving cats a clear route in and out. When the sensors detect a cat inside, the cleaning process stops and resumes after the cat exits. That safety-focused cycle supports everyday use in a shared home, while the 10L waste container reduces how often waste needs to be scooped. For a single cat, the stated interval can be up to 10 days without manual scooping, depending on use.
Everyday use
The AS11 is designed for multi-cat homes, where a larger waste container can make routine upkeep more manageable. In a single-cat household, its automatic cleaning cycle can help keep litter-box care in the daily routine without requiring manual scooping after every use. The open top provides an accessible entry, and the low-noise operation is rated at 32dB for a quieter home environment.
Compared with a basic litter box that relies on manual scooping, this model adds automatic cleaning and sensor-based pausing. That approach may suit households looking to reduce hands-on litter maintenance while keeping the box open and accessible for cats. The removable waste bin and disposable liners support waste removal when it is time to empty the container.
Usage tips
Position the litter box where your cat can reach the open entrance comfortably, then keep the removable waste bin and liners in mind as part of the regular cleaning routine. In a home with more than one cat, check the waste container periodically and empty it as needed, the 10L capacity is designed to reduce frequent scooping, not to replace routine attention. The safety sensors are intended to pause the cleaning cycle while a cat is inside and resume once it has exited.
What to clarify
How does the safety system respond when a cat enters? The four pairs of infrared sensors and three hall sensors are designed to detect a cat in the box, pause cleaning, and allow the cycle to resume after the cat leaves.
How much waste can the container hold? The waste container has a 10L capacity. For one cat, the stated interval can reach up to 10 days without manual scooping, with actual timing depending on use.
What helps with waste removal? The waste bin is removable, and disposable liners are intended to make disposal more convenient. The box also operates at a stated 32dB noise level.
Is it worth it?
A solid pick if you want an open-top litter box with automatic cleaning, a sensor-based pause, and a 10L waste container. The Mimfam AS11 brings those features together for cat owners seeking a more hands-off litter routine, particularly in a multi-cat home or a household where quieter operation matters.
